NAD Introduces Progressive -Scan DVD Player in New Slim and Stylish Chassis Design

The highly affordable T 514 combines NAD's audio excellence with improved performance and playback capabilities

CES 2004, LAS VEGAS, NV., Jan. 6, 2005 - NAD, the highly regarded manufacturer of high -performance audio components introduces the new T 514 DVD Player their most affordable progressive -scan player during CES 2005 in Las Vegas this week.

The new entry level T 514 provides audiophile performance supporting up to five channels capable of reproducing 24 -bit, 96kHz audio resolution. It supports most popular disc formats, including MP -3, WMA (Windows Media Audio), JPEG and Kodak Picture CD. The DVD -R recordable DVD format is also fully supported. Other DVD recording formats, such as DVD+R and DVD -RAM, may also play properly, depending on which DVD Recorder and blank media are used.

The new slim chassis of the T 514 is stylish and attractive, a perfect partner to one of NAD's high performance A/V Receivers. It offers progressive scan with 3:2 pull down (film detection mode) via the Component Video outputs (Y, Cr, Cb) for the highest resolution with today's high -end digital video monitors and projectors. The 4x10 -bit, 54MHz Video DACs keep signal paths short and direct to minimize interference and are capable of reproducing the finest picture details, as well as true blacks and vivid colors.

The player features three video connection options - component, S -Video and composite - and four for audio - coax, optical, 5.1 analog and stereo analog - assuring complete compatibility with any Home Theater set -up supporting all popular surround formats.

For fast and efficient integration into the most demanding whole -house installations, NAD provides 12V triggers for remote on -off switching. Additionally, the T 514 offers a broad array of capabilities, including Multi -Angle*, Multi -Sound*, Multi -Subtitle*, Frame, 100x Zoom, Marker Search, Smooth Scan, Slow Motion, and Repeat. All these functions can be easily accessed with the supplied remote control.

The T 514 will sell for a suggested retail price of $299 and is currently shipping. It can be seen with NAD's other fine new products in their Hospitality Suite 1028 at the Hard Rock Hotel during CES 2005.
