Norcent Names Thomas Harvey to Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing Position

Much Recognized and Respected Former Faroudja Laboratories and Sony Executive Set to Join Company at 2005 International CES

CES Booth LVCC SO 3/31419 - January 3, 2004 - Norcent, a marketer of high -quality, affordably priced home entertainment products, has named Thomas Harvey as its Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Harvey joins Norcent after spending the past seven years at Faroudja Laboratories. Prior to that, he was with Sony Electronics for 18 years. His first official duty for Norcent will be representing the company at 2005 International CES.

Harvey most recently was Vice President and General Manager and acting Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Faroudja Laboratories Inc., a division of Genesis Microchip, Inc. In his last position, he had complete responsibility for the company's daily operations. During his career there, the company received two prestigious Innovations Awards from the International CES Show. Faroudja also won an EMMY in 2001 for the DFT product, under Harvey's management.

Among his duties during his 18 years at Sony Electronics were positions that found him working closely in both marketing and sales activities. As Senior Vice President - Western Zone Sales, Consumer Sales Company, Harvey headed up a 97 -member management, sales, and support team and oversaw a sales for the western third of the US market.

While serving as Sony's President - Consumer Sales Company, he had total responsibility for sales of the entire consumer product line for the U.S. market, including distribution, sales programs, recommendations for product specifications, and the coordination of sales development with various Sony marketing companies. Harvey was awarded his third Chairman's Award for continued double digit sales growth and efficiency.

Other positions at Sony included: President - Consumer Audio Products Company, where he was responsible for all facets of audio products marketing. There he won the Chairman's Award for continued double digit growth and profitability as well as a CLEO Award for an unique Walkman television spot. In addition he won another Chairman's Award for being the first Marketing Company, Sony worldwide, to exceed one -billion dollars in revenue.

Harvey has been recognized numerous times for his work on behalf of the industry. Citations include being selected as one of the ten "Go to Guys" in the home theater industry by BEST magazine in 2004 as well as being named to the Exhibitor Advisory Board of the International CES Show the same year. He was a member of the CEDIA Manufacturer Advisory Committee and served as a member of the Board of Directors for Esceint Convergence Corporation.
