Acoustic Innovations Eliminates Dealer Design Fees for Home Theater Presentation Packages

New Risk-Free, Dealer-Friendly Policy Revolutionizes the Way Dealers Can Receive High-Quality Design Packages for Their Home Theater Clients

CEDIA EXPO, Indianapolis, Sept. 10, 2004 - Acoustic Innovations, Inc. the leading developer and manufacturer of high -performance Home Theater Interiors and related solutions, officially launches a new Refundable Deposit Program for the custom installation community at the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) Expo 2004, beginning today in Indianapolis.

The Refundable Deposit Program is a dramatic step that promises to revolutionize the means by which dealers and custom installers present high -quality, high impact design presentations to their Home Theater clients. In the past, dealers have had to pay upfront non -refundable design fees to theater interior manufacturers before they could show their clients any drawings or 3D renderings of the prospective theater, placing the client in a "Catch 22" situation in which they had to spend money before knowing what the finished product would look like or even cost.

Acoustic Innovations has changed to a much more "dealer friendly" approach and eliminated the traditional non -refundable retainer required from dealers for the preparation of Home Theater drawings, 3D renderings, and proposals.

The Refundable Deposit Program is one of a series of unique products and programs developed by Acoustic Innovations to help dealers market and sell high -quality personal Home Theater Interiors in ways that are unique, effective, efficient and profitable.

"The Refundable Deposit Program is an important step in our effort to completely revamp and revolutionize the process of selling Home Theater Interiors," said Rick Schuett, Acoustic Innovations Executive Vice President. "It all but eliminates the financial risk to dealers of preparing detailed presentations, and provides them with high -quality presentation packages that help close the deal. It greatly simplifies the selling process and increases close rates substantially for the dealer's sales force. As far as I know, we're the only theater interiors firm using this approach, despite its many advantages."

Under the Refundable Deposit System, Acoustic Innovations receives a small refundable deposit and then prepares for the dealer a high quality Home Theater Interiors presentation package that includes CAD plan and elevation drawings, a detailed written presentation or "Scope Agreement", complete pricing including fixed installation costs and, for some projects, a photo -realistic 3D representation of the finished room.

Typically, a dealer has already been asked for such a proposal by a potential Home Theater Interiors client and, traditionally, has had to assume the full risk of preparing the materials for a proposal. With an Acoustic Innovations Theater Interiors Presentation Package, the dealer is fully prepared to continue working with the client and close the deal.

If the client accepts the Home Theater Interior presentation, the deposit is applied toward the cost of the project. If the theater is not commissioned, the entire presentation package is returned to Acoustic Innovations after which the deposit is returned to the dealer, basically eliminating the dealer's financial risk. To ensure its effectiveness, the Refundable Deposit Program has been Beta -tested for much of the past year, with successful outcomes in nearly every instance of its use.

In addition to a very professional presentation, Acoustic Innovation dealers also benefit from several additional solutions and tools unique to Acoustic Innovations. These include an easy -to -use "cost per square foot" pricing matrix, estimating software for new Showcase Theaters, and a CD -ROM image library showing over 200 attractive Home Theater solutions in a variety of styles and décors. These images can be transferred by dealers to their own PCs or Web sites, or printed out and presented as part of a customized portfolio.

The refundable deposits are $2,000 for a presentation package for Acoustic Innovations' Showcase Personal Theaters, with 3D room renderings available at a small additional cost; and $4,000 for a presentation package for its line of Customized Theater Interiors (which includes the cost of a 3D rendering of the theater). Very unique or highly customized "one of a kind" theaters continue to require a 5 per cent design fee; however, even much of this fee is refundable if the client elects to not pursue the theater interior.

The Refundable Deposit Program can be fully explored, along with Acoustic Innovations' other outstanding theater interior and customized seating solutions in Booth 350, Indiana Convention Center, during CEDIA EXPO.
