ELAN Continues to Expand Training Programs
Further Solidifying Dealer Program Position as Best in Industry

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - - CEDIA BOOTH #302 - - ELAN™ Home Systems announced today that it's phenomenally successful Dealer Training Program now has 11 courses that are officially CEDIA CEU certified, enabling ELAN Dealers to use their ELAN courses to further their CEDIA Certification. In conjunction with this, ELAN reports on the first year success of its new ELAN University, with 1,858 students registered and 30,664 courses taken within the first 14 months of the program, further illustrating the Company's deep commitment to providing the best manufacturer training in the industry. The announcement was made by Paul Starkey, ELAN's Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

ELAN University (ELAN U) recently received CEDIA CEU certifications for 11 of its courses, which are a combination of ELAN U and ELAN Lexington "hands on" curriculum. The CEDIA CEU Program certifies Dealers after they complete specific requirements, with the CEDIA Professional Certification being valid for 36 months. By the end of this period, CEDIA Certified Professionals must be able to provide documentation of at least 30 continuing education units (CEUs) or achieve a higher CEDIA certification making ELAN U courses particularly attractive and rewarding for Dealers.

ELAN has submitted and received approval for 11 ELAN courses that can be applied to Dealer's ongoing education, so that they now may achieve this higher -level certification.
Dealers may take these ELAN CEDIA CEU -approved courses to receive a variety of CEU credits, with one of the ELAN hands on, integration courses being worth 4 CEU Credits alone.

According to Paul Starkey, "ELAN's Dealer training programs are truly unmatched within the industry, and we are pleased to be working closely with CEDIA on their invaluable continuing education Program. It is one of our top priorities to expand our Dealer education and incentive programs and to continually provide the best Dealer training available in any industry today. By being part of the CEDIA CEU program, our Dealers have additional new ways to grow and prosper."

ELAN is also celebrating its first extraordinarily successful year of ELAN University Dealer training. In the short time since it was introduced in July 2003, ELAN U has enrolled 1,858 total registered students who have taken 30,664 courses. In the same period ELAN U has issued 1,274 ELAN certifications spanning several levels. As a result, ELAN now has 98 Master Level certified Dealers to date. On a continuous growth path, ELAN U has added 20 all -new courses between March 2004 and August 2004.

In other training news, ELAN's Headquarters Training has experienced tremendous growth during the past year as well. Said Dino Mevoli, ELAN's National Training Manager, "We have revamped our training facility to have greater number of hands on racks available for our Dealers, and designed and tailored workbooks to better correlate to Dealer feedback that we are receiving in through our Tech Support Team. We are now averaging 325 Dealers trained in person per month between training at Headquarters and in the field. In addition, as part of our planned expansion, we are targeting to post approximately 25 to 30 new courses on ELAN U between September and the end of this year."

Cat Fowler, ELAN's Vice President of Marketing and Technical Services added that the training team has also recently expanded resources in order to have even greater direct links to Dealers and the field. ELAN has four Technical Regional Associates who are in various regions around the country training and working closely with Dealers, who are part of the Sales team, but who now also keep continuous contact with the training team to ensure consistent and valuable training across the country.

Says Cat, "We have had such remarkable success with our current Technical Associates in the field, that, our Sales team has recently opened up 2 additional Regional Associate positions, one in the Mountain Region, and one in the East Central Region. We believe that ELAN has a territory structure that is highly unique, with the combination of both Territory Sales Managers and Technical Regional Associates to train and serve our Dealers unlike any other company with whom they work."

Additionally, ELAN conducted more than 15 standing -room only training courses at its first annual TRIO Dealer Summit held this past May in Lexington, Kentucky. TRIO attracted more than 325 Dealers from across the nation, where specially planned training was provided from technical, business, and sales disciplines for attendees.
