WEST KINGSTON, R.I. - April 27, 2004 - American Power Conversion (Nasdaq: APCC) (APC) today announced three ergonomic stands for notebook computers to help improve user comfort and productivity. APC's Ergonomic Notebook Stands offer users better ergonomic positioning of their notebook for increased comfort and better posture, which can help reduce back, neck, and wrist strain. The new solutions offer varying levels of adjustability for a notebook's LCD display height. Each notebook stand elevates the laptop, improves cooling, and helps to maximize performance and battery longevity. One model also includes a built -in 4 -port USB 2.0 hub for added convenience.

"In today`s growing mobile business environment, notebook users should not have to compromise the convenience of using a notebook computer for lack of comfort," said Joe Loberti, general manager of APC's Consumer Networks Solutions Group. "Increasing amounts of notebook users combined with the need to improve productivity calls for a solution like the APC Ergonomic Notebook Stands. The ergonomic stands add a level of increased comfort for the user and help to improve productivity because the stands can help to minimize work time loss due to repetitive trauma injuries."

The APC Ergonomic Notebook Stands feature:
• An attractive design that allows increased airflow for notebook cooling, promoting maximum performance and longevity;

• Ability to rotate 360 -degrees to share the notebook's display and access the rear of the computer;

• Better ergonomic positioning for increased comfort that can promote less back, neck, and wrist strain;

• Built -in 4 -port USB 2.0 hub (ENS -USB model only).

In addition to built -in cooling and swivel capabilities, one model offers a 5 -degree tilt for those users that require only minor ergonomic help in the home or office.
