RUSSOUND ADDS VERSATILE ST2 DUAL TUNER

High performance source component provides perfect complement to CAV/ UNO systems

CEDIA EXPO, Indianapolis, IN, September 5, 2003 - Russound, a leading manufacturer of a/v products for the residential systems and connectivity markets, announced a major addition to their complete line of innovative Multi -Room audio products - the ST2 dual AM/FM tuner. The ST2 is ideal for use with Russound's award -winning CAV6.6 Controller Amplifier and UNO -S2 keypad, yet the modular tuner can be easily integrated with virtually any RS -232 or IR controlled application. The ST2 comes complete with rack ears and remote control and will be shipping in October, 2003 at a MAP of $699.

The ST2 leverages Russound's proprietary RNET™ platform to provide a smart tuner option for the UNO keypad. The UNO's twelve -character backlit display provides the user instant feedback for remarkably simple, intuitive operation. Right from the keypad, the end -user can have visible access to frequency, Station ID, preset or memory information - all in real time! If the user desires more than two radio choices in a Multi -Source system, they only need to add a second ST2 for added flexibility and convenience.

Typical of Russound engineering, the ST2 is a modular design to allow support for all future tuner technologies as they become available. In a compact size of only one rack unit high, the new ST2 is designed with an intuitive display and buttons right on the front panel for access for use or programming. Mirroring the front panel functions, the ST2 -RC
remote control, supplied at no extra charge, provides further convenience and flexibility. In addition, there is also complete IR control with direct IR inputs for each tuner.

According to Russound Product Manager Andy Lewis, "Being a tuner, the ST2 is actually the company's first source component and therefore it's a major addition to our line. Our design goal was to deliver a high performance dual tuner that would seamlessly integrate with our current systems. When used with an UNO keypad, the display provides instant feedback and remarkable ease of use." Mr. Lewis went on to add, "Moreover with its modular design, remote control and RS -232 control, we also designed the ST2 to be as versatile as possible. So it can be easily integrated with other brands in a wide variety of multi -room audio systems."

The ST2 tuner is available now to order and will be shipping in October 2003. The unit is offered at a MAP of $699 and is supplied with rack ears and ST2 -RC remote control at no extra cost. The ST2 will be featured and on display, along with Russound's award -winning CAV6.6 and UNO -S2 and the company's complete line of a/v connectivity products, at the CEDIA Expo September 5 -7 in booth # 402 at the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana.
