HomeSeer Technologies Announces Touch Screen Support

New interface makes it easy for end users to control their homes using any system that supports a touch screen.

BEDFORD, NH - - - Sept 1, 2003 - - - HomeSeer Technologies announces enhanced support for touch screens with its TouchPad Plug -in for HomeSeer. The plug -in allows users to control their homes using any touch screen display. The interface is web based, so it will display on any remote touch screen with web browser capability. The screen does not have to be directly connected to the PC running HomeSeer. With a pleasant graphical interface, users can easily move from room to room in there home and view the status of their automation devices, as well as control them. The interface supports lighting, infrared, voice mail, and media control. The system provides for easy access to the user's entire media library using HomeSeer's Media Player 9 Plug -in. A voice mail page gives users access to all their voice mail mailboxes. Many display options are available to customize the interface.


"Users want to control their homes as easily as possible from anywhere at anytime, and our TouchPad interface provides another way to achieve this graphically" states Richard Helmke, founder of HomeSeer Technologies.

The TouchPad plug -in is a free upgrade for existing customers, and will be included in the 1.7 release of HomeSeer.
