Wipro Technologies (NYSE:WIT), a leading provider of Home Gateway software solutions today announced that it's VPN Router Solution has been certified by the Virtual Private Network Consortium (VPNC) for Basic and Rekey conformance. Wipro VPN Router is a complete, full featured, performance optimized, Linux based software solution for the product OEMs and Silicon Vendors. It has a fully integrated network security software solution with NAT, stateful inspection Firewall, and Virtual Private Networking (IPSec, PPTP, and L2TP), with provisioning, remote management, logging, and configuration capabilities.

Wipro VPN Router solution successfully passed the VPNC testing for Basic, and Rekeying conformance. Wipro VPN Router Solution has completely passed the rigorous tests of VPNC and is now one of the few network security solutions in the world to be VPNC certified. Reference Implementation is currently available on Embedded Linux Operating System on platforms like Intel IXP425, Toshiba TX4927 and Motorola MPC857, MPC852 platforms
