The BC2 controller offers the full processing power of the BC1, but in a svelte mid-sized form factor. The smaller size makes it perfect for automation designs involving fewer devices, but that still require the highest level of performance. BitWise made it easy for dealers to integrate the BC2 controller with no coding needed, and made it simple for users to manage their systems with the BitWise control app on their iOS and Android devices.
The BC2 provides event scheduling, email notifications, and two-way interaction with serial and networked devices. It communicates with every BitWise user interface and controller on the network, and interacts with mechanical devices using on-board relays and signal-sensing ports. New BC2 orders will be shipped June 21 in the order in which purchases were made.

More and more projection screens are being installed in multiple use settings where ambient light can create a "washout" effect. During InfoComm 2013, Draper Inc. is showing the projection screen surface which solves this problem.
Draper's High Performance XS850E not only offers superior ambient light rejection capability, it also features precise resolution, high contrast, a vivid color palette, and a remarkably broad viewing cone.
"High Performance XS850E gives a nice bright image in the dark or with ambient light," according to Draper Fabric Coordinator Brian Hocker. "What makes this surface really special, though-and different from similar products-is that you see the same great image off axis, and the contrast levels are excellent in all conditions."
High Performance XS850E is available on Draper's Clarion and Onyx fixed screens.
Loaded with proprietary SurgeX technologies, the SEQ 1U is outfitted with Advanced Series Mode surge elimination protection, a zero let through technology that stops all surges up to 6,000 volts / 3,000 amps (unlimited surge current) without producing harmful side effects such as ground contamination or common mode disturbances. The unit also features both common mode and normal mode Impedance Tolerant EMI/RFI filtering and COUVS (Catastrophic Over/Under Voltage Shutdown), as well as SurgeX ICE (Inrush Current Elimination) for a complete power conditioning solution
Programming of the SEQ 1U is made easy through a front panel LCD display that also provides unit status and AC line voltage. In addition to protecting AV and IT equipment, the nine available outlets on the SEQ 1U can be used to control other SurgeX products or several SEQs can be interconnected to operate together to manage large scale installations. All set up configurations are stored in non volatile memory.
Aurora Multimedia, a leader in IP control systems and HD video distribution, introduces One Room – One Cable™ solution-based products with its new DXW-2 Audio/Video Wall Plate for classroom and conference room applications. The DXW-2 accepts a single HDMI/DVI input and 1-VGA/YPbPr input each with its own analog audio input. The two inputs are selectable via the front plate, auto-detect or via RS232 and passed over a single CAT cable up to 600ft (182m) using the latest HDBaseT technology. The new wall plates do not require a power supply.
The DXW-2’s audio inputs are all embedded with their associated video signals and passed as 1080P HDMI over a single CAT5e/6a cable to the mating DXE Receiver module, DXM Matrix switcher CAT inputs or any other HDBaseT authorized product. The DXW-2 family all fit into standard Dual-gang Decora® plates and with only 1.4” depth, fits into most floor and table boxes as well. VGA signals are converted to 1080P HDMI directly at the wall plate and HDMI inputs accept DVI as well. On-board IR receiver and embedded serial control allow simple far-end display control over the same CAT-X cable. Three different models offer options with Ethernet and USB 2.0 extension as well allowing for remote use of interactive white-boards, camera’s and other USB 2.0 devices. Made in the USA, the DXW-2’s are available in both Black and White in three different versions (DXW-2, 2E & 2EU). DXW-2 & DXW-2E models shipping now.

“Streaming media traffic, whether, data, audio or video, is on a sharp rise and networks are demanding more bandwidth,” explained John Phillips, Platinum Tools, Inc. product manager. “That means bigger and usually shielded cable, such as Cat6E, Cat6A and Cat7. Our new 10Gig Kit terminates larger cable to meet 10 Gig standards.”
The connector choice is critical. In today’s world, it needs to be at least 10 Gig rated, cable compatible, and field terminate capable. “Our 10 Gig Cat6A shielded connector not only meets, but exceeds these requirements,” Phillips added. “Used along with the Tele TitanXg Crimp Tool, our cable stripper and external shielded crimper you achieve an optimal termination every time.”
