Mark Cuban, HDNet

Mark Cuban will keynote Day 2 of the three-day conference.

"The more HD viewers watch, the more discerning they are of picture quality and the more they will make their viewing choices based on this feature," stated Mark Cuban. "It is important for everyone in the television industry to recognize this trend and to focus on delivering the best possible picture quality without increasing compression."

"We are thrilled to have Mark Cuban presenting at this year's event," said DisplaySearch President Ross Young. "We applaud the key role HDNet and Mark Cuban have played in the HDTV transition to date and look forward to their continued success."

Mr. Cuban, who is also the owner of the Dallas Mavericks NBA franchise, was first made famous by his sale of to Yahoo in 1999, making him one of the wealthiest people in the country. Today, his passion is high definition television, and HDNet operates two 24x7 all-HD networks, HDNet and HDNet Movies. Cuban has also partnered with Todd Wagner to create 2929 Entertainment, an entertainment holding company that owns several entertainment assets, including HDNet Films, a production company that produces high-definition movies for distribution on the HDNet networks as well as through theatrical and HD-DVD/D-VHS release. Mr. Cuban will also be heading up his own reality show in the fall entitled "The Benefactor", which will air right before Monday Night Football this fall on ABC.

"It enhances the viewer's experience by enabling them to see more, see better and hear better. Watching sports on HD, one feels like they are actually in the stadium or arena, not thousands of miles away. As a result, we are pleased and excited that Mr. Burns will keynote, sharing with our audience their vision as the worldwide leader in sports, and we applaud their leadership in developing the world's first 24-hour HD sports channel."

Mr. Burns's presentation will kick off the Expanding HDTV Programming session on Day 1, which will be followed by a panel session moderated by Dale Cripps, Publisher of HDTV Magazine and HD industry expert.  The panel session will feature the following TV and film executives:
