While installing touchscreen monitors in homes, offices or public spaces, safety and convenience are the main  aspects to be taken into account. Wall-mounts and ceiling-mounts fulfill both aspects, while adding a touch of class  and sophistication to your interior design. This article lists out some of the advantages of installing lifts and mounts for your touchscreen TV.

More Space

Wall-mounted and ceiling mounted stands eliminate the space taken up by a TV stand. This allows you to utilize the  floor space in your room more efficiently. As the mount usually sits flat against your wall, the air-space taken up by  the mount is minimal, as well.

Increased Safety

With your monitor being mounted off the floor, it becomes less prone to being bumped or knocked over. It also  removes the risk of injury that could be caused by tipping over a stand-mounted TV.

Ease of Viewing

There are different types of motion-capable TV mounts and lifts available to give viewers an optimum viewing  experience:

Flat Mount – These are the basic mounts, which are attached to the wall plate and extend to approximately an inch from the wall. These are suitable for rooms where the screen can be comfortably viewed from the viewing area.

Tilt Mount – These mounts can be tilted up and down to adjust the viewing angle for the screen. But there is a limitation for those who are viewing the screen from the far edges.

Swivel Mount – These mounts, in addition to the tilt angle adjustments, also allow for a swivel movement to adjust the screen towards the left or right. This makes it easier to view the screen from all possible angles. These mounts are also called articulating mounts.

Ceiling Mount – These mounts are attached to the ceiling. They include a bracket that is secured to the back of the television. This assembly is then secured to a rod with an adjustable hinge. This mount has the maximum range of movement, making it adjustable to any viewing angle and tilt. These mounts can be installed anywhere in the room.

An added advantage is that in case of a room redesign, there would be no need to relocate the mount, as well; the mount can simply be readjusted to the new viewing directed.

PageConceal Your TV:

In small living spaces, TV lifts can be beneficial as they hide your screen behind the ceiling or floor. The TV can be slid out only when it is required and therefore, frees up your entire room space. The TV tilt can also be adjusted to the desired viewing angle.

Aesthetics and Sophistication:

TV mounts and lifts, in addition to their practical advantages, can give your home or office a cool and sophisticated feel. TV mount and lift installations can blend into your room’s design seamlessly, if done right.

Choosing the right TV mount or lift for your flat screen TV should not be difficult once you have weighed the pros and cons of each type of mount. Before deciding on a mount, you must ensure that the location for the mount is suitable in terms of the type of wall used in your room and its load-bearing capacity. Once you have chosen wisely, you might find the effort worth it.
