Project Showcase - NR Audio/Video

This project was a culmination of many years to trial and error.  The house was built in 1995 and at that time, there were few options in multi room A/V.  I originally had a soundstream music and video distribution system which lasted  a few years.  When an addition was added to the house in 06, that is when I decided to change over the system.  I upgraded an old Omni to the latest Pro II and during the construction, ran all new cabling to the rooms and theater. Everything is now networked. I changed out the switches to UPB and installed the Russound system.

We designed the client's systems around RTI control solutions. With its numerous output options and available remote controls, RTI's XP-8 control processor provides all the necessities within the allotted budget, while the T4 color touchpanel controller and T2-C universal handheld controller offer effortless but powerful control over all systems.

Stargate Theater is an Epic Creation

With a deep appreciation for The Stargate Atlantis television series and boxoffice hit, this homeowner came to Phil Chaney with the concept of recreating the set of Stargate Atlantis for his theater.

Integrating the Old with the New

"Absolutely not." Those were the first words my husband, Blake, uttered when I showed him my "find"; a two-story, ninety-eight year-old house in Sanders Beach. "But Honey, look," I coaxed. "It has the original wainscoting, and check out the columns and the coffered ceilings!" Blake shook his head and pointed at the kitchen cabinets, which, along with the "Harvest Gold" stove, dated from the MacArthur era. Then he turned my attention to a large section of the ceiling that had rotted away to dust. I waved off his concerns. "We can fix all this. Just think how beautiful it could be."

The Latest In Billionaire Home Dcor

The StarDome replicates the "skylight" featured on the bridge of the enterprise; and it happens to be one of Sekulow's and his children's favorites.

Digital Hell

There are lots of theories about how and why new products achieve mass-market success. I'd like to offer my own little rule of thumb. No product will ever achieve mass-market success unless it inspires envy. People must look at the early adopters and want to become one.

EXtreme Makeover Home Edition

Looking back at this event, I was happy to be a part of it. I know that my work was only a very small piece of the pie, and that there were probably over 3,000 people who donated their time, materials, know how and hard work into making the home a reality. I think that I have never been more proud to be a part of such a great team!

Home Automation at the Gordon Residence

None of this would have been possible without the Homeseer product and the continuous excellent support supplied by them and the army of dedicated sharing users that have flocked around the product.

A Day in the Life

A typical day in the life of a home automation system controller ... as seen through it's eyes ... if it had them that is!
