VDV MapMaster 2.0 can impressively map up to 19 locations, it still does utilize the tried and true tone generation. This gives techs the capability to adapt to the mapping features of the product while providing a great fall back when toning speaker wire and other miscellaneous cables. Now with the added TDR technology, it has the ability to both measure the entire length of a cable and or individual pairs, as well as measure the distance to a short in the cable.

An introduction to video walls
Typically hotels buy advertising. on a recent trip to New Orleans, I came across a Hotel selling advertising and providing a compelling reason to sign up.
With offerings as creative and addictively delicious as Green Tea Strawberry Crème, MojiTea and Teappuccino, Argo Tea, a successful chain of specialty tea caf©s, wanted to update its static menuboards to cost-effectively improve their presentation and automate new content delivery.
I'm not easily impressed, but on a recent trip to New Orleans, I was pleasantly surprised to discover a case where the iPhone was way better than the TV remote.
There are many apps for iOS devices that allow it to perform as control pad, but is an iOS device the best option?

This week's Nvidia GPU Technology Conference gave us yet another peek into why the GPU (Graphic Processor Unit) still matters. Jen-Hsun Huang runs a high tempo aggressive team that is always pushing the envelope and his latest announcement was no exception bringing tears to our son's eyes because he so wanted one of the $1K units but no way! It may be all about gaming power but the pixel processing power took us right back to NAB and how their latest offerings and technology announcements is keeping pace with movie and broadcast producers demands for better quality video content and faster/more comprehensive encoding. And yes you still have to store it all somewhere!!
A look at how new imaging technologies work and their role in security applications
It seems like only yesterday that I breathed a sigh of relief at the end of the HD format wars. Blu-ray had won and I could safely start building my HD media library. With players under $100, it's safe to say Blu-ray is now mainstream, but current TV's and projectors can display content that is not supported by Blu-ray. Good examples include wide-gamut TV's and 4K displays projectors and AV receivers. It's time to look to the future.
You may have heard about "4K" video resolution being offered by Sony, JVC, and Meridian in some of their latest high-end video projectors and wondered if it's for you. If you're the type who has to ride the first wave to the latest and the greatest, then the answer is "Yes". If you don't have to be first, but enjoy owning state-of-the art electronics, you will still have a little time before 4K technology becomes mainstream

Ron Zimmer, CABA President & CEO describes the organization and project.
NAB is the second most popular event for us to attend because we like to see how prehistoric our years in TV were compared to today and it's like light years. This year we're way beyond pushing stuff to the tube. The content people are sending stuff to everything. We know that's not a brilliant observation but what literally blows us away is how the industry is now able to do it so precisely to your mobile device, in the right format, even at the right time and BAM!!! with the right ads around it that are of most interest to you. It is so elegant. Oh sure they're not exactly certain what your threshold of pain will be for the volume of ads but they're working on that.
