Pragmatic Introduces PADS(tm)

[an error occurred while processing this directive]

(Santa Clara, March 26, 2003) The Pragmatic PADS(tm) (Pragmatic Audio Distribution System) fills your house with music; whether it's for a party or just for ambiance. PADS(tm) sends high quality stereo signals and DC power on Cat5 cabling to 4 rooms in your house. The PADS(tm) is infinitely expandable by adding additional modules. Each room has a high performance stereo amplifier and volume, with volume control in a single gang electrical box. Since the PADS(tm) uses standard industry wiring, installation is extremely quick and simple. This saves both time and money for the installer.

The PADS(tm) can take any audio signal, such as the signal from an integrated receiver, a CD player, a hard disk based audio server, an MP3 player from a PC, or a stereo, and distribute it throughout the house. To make installation even easier, the power supplied to the amplifiers comes from the PADS(tm) through the Cat5 cabling. This means there is no excess wiring for power at the amplifier. Three hundred feet... That's how far each room can be away from the PADS(tm) base. Each room gets 2 speakers (stereo) as standard equipment included in the package. Although the system comes with 8 high quality in-wall stereo speakers, if you so choose you can use speakers you provide yourself. In addition, the system is powerful, almost twice the power of similar competing products.
