MyCasa Network Raises $3.25 Million to Develop Internet Based Digital Services for the Home.

(Palo Alto, CA- Jan 28, 2002) - MyCasa Network Inc., a company that develops and licenses Internet based digital products and services for the home, announced that it has raised $3.25 million in its first institutional equity financing round led by Enel Capital, the venture investment arm of Enel SPA (NYSE:EN; Milan:ENEL) a major European electrical utility company.

At Demo 2001 MyCasa demonstrated a first prototype of devices and services that used the company's technology.

Founded in January 2000 and based in Palo Alto, California, MyCasa Network closed its first round of financing in the second quarter of 2000 with private investors such as successful technology industry veterans Giacomo Marini (Co-Founder of Logitech and Cirlab!) and Enzo Torresi (Venture Capitalist, partner MyQube).

MyCasa Network partners with home automation companies, structured wiring companies, Internet service providers and utilities to deliver solutions to private residences and office buildings.

MyCasa Network develops hardware and software products that enable Internet-based digital services for the home. Services include remote control and monitoring of homes from Internet enabled devices such as mobile phones, PDAs and PCs. The offering is composed of a suite of web-based software for the delivering and provisioning of monitoring and control services, a low-cost service gateway to be installed at the end-users' premises, customization and management services.
