SAN CLEMENTE, Calif., (June 26, 2003) - Sonance®, the leader in in-wall, in-ceiling, and other audio control products, has been awarded The Ethics in America Award for its ongoing commitment to ethical integrity in the marketplace. The honor, presented in conjunction with the Passkeys Foundation and Chapman University, is given annually to local Orange County, Calif., businesses for outstanding professional standards of conduct within the community and was presented in a ceremony held at the Sutton Place Hotel in Newport Beach, California.
"Ethics are vital to any business and its brands," said Chip Brown, Sonance CEO. "Ethical behavior is the foundation for building trust - between a company and its employees, between a company and its customers, and within the general community in which we live and work. That trust is essential for nourishing relationships and building long-term success."
The Ethics in America Program was created by Russell Williams, founder of the Passkeys Foundation, in conjunction with Chapman University's The Ralph W. Leatherby Center for Entrepreneurship and Business Ethics in 1996. Nominations are made through local chambers of commerce and are based on specific selection criteria provided by The Passkeys Foundation.
