Last month, ConnectHomes dealer in Georgia, Link Your House, won the honor of designing and integrating an estate home in a community called "Legends at Château Elan". This design consisted of automating and networking for a 20 bedroom, 13,000 square foot home. The install included HAI's OMNI Pro II security and automation controller system surrounding the home and pool area. This system allows the homeowner to check the status and control their home from anywhere in the world. The structured wiring throughout the home has high-speed internet with extra coax cabling. The key featured design is the 7.1 THX rated Home Theatre installed on the terrace level using Crestron STS touch panel for control highlighted by the 50-inch Pioneer plasma with Sound Advance SAII surround sound and pre-wired satellite for HDTV. This room was a big hit to say the least. The homeowners are now able to watch their screen from the kitchen and the surround sound reaches them with a touch of a button. The structured wiring, whole house audio/video and phone system were designed to make everything simple to operate throughout the home.

Within the community of Legends at Château Elan, this particular home has been the talk of the community for being the "Best Automated Home" in the latest tour of homes, which was open to the public last month. "During the tour, I was pulled aside many times and told that my home was the nicest and how they loved the décor and all the features of the home automation," "I have to hand it to Link Your House, they are perfectionists and know their stuff" says the homeowner. Since the initial installation, Link Your House has been back to the home to perform upgrades and check on home they call a "Masterpiece". Link Your House has entered this project into the Mark of Excellence Awards for Estate Homes with the Consumer Electronic Association, which will be announcing their award winners at the CES tradeshow January 9-12, 2003.
