VANTAGE ANNOUNCES NEW LIGHTPOINT SENSOR

OREM, Utah - September 4, 2001 - Vantage Controls today announced its new LightPoint Sensor. The LightPoint Sensor allows the Vantage System to automatically adjust lighting fixtures to maintain a consistent level of light in a specific area. For example, during sunrise as the light level in a room increases, lighting fixtures dim to maintain the same level of light in the room. At night, as the sun sets, lights automatically brighten to compensate for the decrease in external light.

"One of the valuable things about this product is that it provides light harvesting for energy conservation," said Timothy O'Loughlin, systems integration manager at Vantage Controls. "This is a very timely and important issue for our residential and commercial projects."

The LightPoint Sensor also behaves like a photocell turning lights on or off at a preset level of light. Using the astronomical clock, Vantage Systems can easily turn lights on relative to dusk or dawn. However, since lighting (business signs, security lights, corridors, etc.) may be desired during overcast or cloudy conditions, the new LightPoint Sensor now provides that capability. A company sign that normally turns on at dusk can also illuminate during heavy cloud cover.

About Vantage Control Systems
Vantage keypads are the primary control points in a Vantage Control System. Since each button is programmed to execute anything from setting a single light to operating all systems in a facility, a simple stylish keypad with a small cluster of buttons replace old-fashioned light switches that are unsightly and confusing. The Vantage System automates and controls lights, fans, pumps, thermostats, audio/video equipment, security systems, sprinklers, motorized drapes/blinds/doors and more. All these are integrated into various scenes that execute on a regular schedule or when activated by buttons and/or sensors. Vantage does it all with plug-and-play controllers and modules. The keypads interconnect via RadioLink (RF) or with a simple, non-polarized, 2-wire bus, making the Vantage Control System the easiest to install and the most trouble free product available.
