Leviton Introduces New DHC Scene Capable Devices With One-Button Programming

Indianapolis, September 6, 2001 -- Leviton Decora Home Controls (DHC) Scene-Capable Receivers with One-Button Programming are the newest addition to the DHC line of powerline carrier home automation products. The new DHC Scene-Capable offering includes Wall Switch Dimming Receivers that provide manual and remote ON/OFF switching and full range dimming for incandescent and magnetic low-voltage lighting. DHC Wall Switch Receivers are available in a 10 Amp relay model and an 8 Amp electronic model for manual and remote ON/OFF switching of incandescent, magnetic low-voltage, fluorescent and compact fluorescent lighting. A new Plug-in Module allows users to remotely turn ON/OFF and DIM/BRIGHTEN free-standing lamps and incorporate them into lighting scenes. The new devices provide easy one-button programming and scene capability when used (available Q4). All the new products feature Leviton's exclusive Intellisense® advanced circuitry for the utmost in reliable performance, even where electrical "noise" exists on the power line.

The DHC Scene-Capable Receivers with One-Button Programming are ideal for scene lighting applications including home theaters, dining rooms with chandeliers, living rooms with multiple high hats, entranceways and a wide range of mood lighting applications. All receivers provide an LED locator light and new Wall Switch Dimming Receivers feature an LED brightness display. Dimming Receivers are also available that provide 2-way communication with the status-tracking capable Scene Controller and the Toscana Programmer. Several Wall Switch Receivers provide multi-station manual and remote ON/OFF switching and full range dimming when used with Leviton DHC Multi-Remote Units.

Leviton recommends installing its new System Amplifier in every DHC installation to ensure proper signal strength and outstanding performance throughout the DHC network. The unit also provides convenient built-in ON/OFF test signal transmission for easy signal strength verification at individual module locations.
