DLS-3 SA software enables the security system administrator to schedule, view and print system events, and to add or delete users and access cards. The software can transmit, as well as receive data and programming information from multiple MAXSYS systems in various locations using DSC's proprietary MD-12 modem, included in each DLS-3 System Administrator Kit.

An optional DLS-3 System Administrator Direct Connect Kit (includes the PC4401 module) will allow for fulltime, local communication with the MAXSYS system from a distance of up to 200' (60m).

DSC POWER864 EXPANDABLE HYBRID SECURITY SYSTEM

Describing it as "the most innovative security system on the market today", DSC has added the Power864, expandable 64-zone hybrid security system that is packed with options, to its extensive line of security products.

With a host of new features that take security and convenience to the next level, the Power864 is expandable to 64 fully programmable zones, with up to 8 separate partitions and wireless expansion of up to 32 zones. In addition, there are four on-board PGM outputs, expandable to 14.

The Power864 also boasts a fuse-less design, force arm by zone, a 256-event buffer with time and date stamp, global, single or multiple partition zone assignment, Downlook video control capability with remote trigger (via Escort5580) and a Windows-based Upload/Download using DLS-3.

SUPERIOR WIRELESS DUAL SENSOR PIR

DSC (Digital Security Controls Ltd.) introduces the WLS914-433, a new wireless PIR motion detector that delivers exceptional intruder detection while offering superior false alarm immunity in harsh environments. Similar to DSC's award-winning Bravo6, the wireless WLS914-433 features high-density digital signal analysis, patented Multi-Level Signal Processing (MLSP), and is fully supervised by the receiver for tamper, low battery, device fault and alarm signals. The new detector has two independent dual-element sensors producing a vertically interleaved beam pattern, that eliminates nuisance alarms caused by rodents and other such hazards.

The WLS914-433 also features temperature compensation, white light immunity, and is supplied complete with four AA alkaline batteries. The WLS914-433 is compatible with DSC's Envoy self-contained, wireless security system and hybrid versions of the PowerSeries™ and MAXSYS™ control panels.

DSC INTRODUCES THE STRATA MOTION DETECTOR, FEATURING MIRROR OPTIC TECHNOLOGY

The Strata motion detector adds mirror optic technology to the extensive DSC (Digital Security Controls Ltd.) line of intrusion sensors. A highly reflective mirror allows the Strata to capture more infrared energy, enabling it to provide a higher level of accuracy. The result is superior catch performance and improved false alarm immunity.

The Strata motion detector also incorporates a digital microprocessor which performs an array of precise mathematical and logical functions, and enables DSC's patented Multi-level Signal Processing (MLSP) to condition the signal more effectively. MLSP maximizes catch performance while providing protection against false alarm sources such as radio interference, heating vents and insects. A wide angle mirror providing 40'x 50' (12.2m x 15.2m) coverage is standard, and curtain mirror coverage of 80' x 5' (24.4m x 1.5m) is optional.

Installation is quick and accurate using the additional swivel-mount bracket that is included with each sensor. The bracket offers greater flexibility in positioning the sensor on the wall, on the ceiling or in a corner.

The new T-Link communicator works within an existing intranet (LAN and WAN) to communicate alarm signals efficiently and economically to a network receiver or Reporter IP software. T-Link simply plugs into the PC-Link™ connection on DSC's Power864 (PC5020 v3.2) or MAXSYS (PC4020 v3.3) security system control panels.

T-Link is constantly on line providing a fully supervised link between the security control panel and the network receiver. With SG's Reporter IP™ automation software installed, any network PC (personal computer) can receive and display color-coded events for easy visual identification. Reporter IP software uses standardized icons for simple navigation, and also incorporates a powerful report generator.

With T-Link installed, the DSC control panel still has the capability to transmit information via the regular telephone line, via the primary or back-up communication path, or in a dual path mode. Remote high-speed downloading is made possible with DSC's DLS-3 software, using a PC connected locally, or remotely via the TCP/IP network or dial-up modem.

DSC INTRODUCES FIRE ALARM CONTROL PANELS

DSC (Digital Security Controls Ltd.) introduces a new line of conventional Fire Alarm Control Panels. Two UL/ULC Listed models currently available are the CFP-102 (2 zone) and the CFP-105 (5 zone).

Microprocessor-based versatility allows a large selection of features to be easily programmed using the front panel switches and indicator lights. Programming can also be quickly downloaded using DSC's DLS-3 software and CFP500 dual-line dialer. Programmable zone types include alarm, alarm verification, waterflow, and supervisory. The dual-use zones automatically differentiate between smoke detectors and contact initiating devices. Both panels include two 1.5 Amp power-limited NACs (Notification Appliance Circuits) and a power supply large enough to handle the full rated load. With a full range of built-in features, the CFP line can address most small to medium fire alarm applications.
