Kenneth Kerr Wins HAA Leadership Award

Washington, D.C.— Kenneth Kerr, president of Home Controls, Inc. and immediate past president of the Home Automation Association (HAA), won the HAA 2000 Leadership Award. Doug Fikse, HAA Awards Committee Chair and President of OnQ Technologies presented the award to Kerr during the Mark of Excellence Awards dinner at the Electronic House Expo 2000 in Orlando, Florida.

Home Controls, Inc., in business since 1995, is an electronics distribution firm specializing in products for the home automation and home networking industry. Kerr's firm has set a high standard for customer service and full product line offerings to home automation dealer/installers. Kerr was also one of the industry's e-commerce pioneers, establishing his company on the Internet at www.homecontrols.com.

Kerr's background includes ownership of three previous companies, each in the construction or printing industries. Mr. Kerr also served on the HAA Board of Directors and in officer positions of the association most recently as President in 1999.

The HAA Leadership Award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the home control systems industry. It is presented annually as part of the HAA Mark of Excellence
