BLAUVELT, New York - - - - March 2, 2004 - - -Tappan Wire & Cable announces their production of a combo cable suitable for Building Automation and Access Control Systems.

The typical configuration of this cable is comprised of four single jacketed cables with an overall common jacket. Gauge sizes are 18awg and 22awg. Each individual cable is printed "Card Reader", "Request to Exit (REX SPARE)", "Door Contact" and "Lock Power/PIR" for ease of identification.

This cable is used for inter -building automation systems where a "home run" topology is used. The contractor now has the ability to pull all of the appropriate cables for the installation in one run and then be able to terminate each component where applicable.

Tappan Wire & Cable can also custom build other variations of this combo cable to suit different system designs. Some of these variations include: multi -paired cables, shielded cables, different individual and overall jacket colors, non -plenum configurations and custom jacket printing. Minimum run quantities start at 10,000 feet per design.
