Designed for Custom Installers, the New Epic Series is More Than Just a Router

Salt Lake City, UT, February 27, 2017 - Luxul, a leading provider of networking solutions for professional installers, has announced today the availability of its new Epic 4 routers. The first in the Epic series, Epic 4 routers offer advanced capabilities above and beyond the traditional router.

In addition to being high-performing commercial-grade routers, the Epic series offers a platform for optimizing the user experience in smart homes, workplaces, retail establishments and more. This experience is delivered through Luxul and third-party applications running on the Epic platform. The first of these offerings is enhanced content filtering from Router Limits, with remote management tools from Domotz to follow in Q2. Additional applications, including Ihiji's remote network management tools and Luxul's award-winning Roam-Assist™ wireless controller technology are on the way. Any of these advanced features can be implemented at the integrator's discretion, making Epic routers an outstanding platform for delivering world-class support and services to their customers, along with the perfect solution upon which to build recurring revenue.

"Epic 4 is the first router designed as a platform to help custom installers deliver advanced services to their customers," said Jeffrey Curtis, Luxul Vice President and General Manager. "Our partnerships with Domotz, Router Limits, Ihiji and others help us give integrators the tools they need-both to serve their customers better as well as to add revenue to their bottom line. We're excited to bring such a great product to market that helps our dealers deliver a superior user experience and exceed customer expectations."

The new Epic routers include all the same great features and installation simplicity that professional installers have come to expect from Luxul, while also offering superior WAN-to-LAN performance. The Epic 4 is available in a traditional ports-on-the-front design and an AV Series ports-on-the-back design with switchable blue/green LEDs for clean integration with AV racks (see XBR-4500 and ABR-4500). Both Epic 4 routers will reach authorized distributor shelves this week.

Luxul has been part of Legrand, North America since Legrand acquired the company in 2016.

ELK Products -C1M1 Dual-Path Alarm Communicators with Remote Services

C1M1 offers a truly significant reduction in transmission time in comparison to other communicators that rely on dial capture or data bus decoding. This can result in quicker response time to emergency situations which could save lives and assets. By providing both IP and cellular pathways, C1M1 provides the reliability installers are looking for in an alarm communicator. C1M1 eliminates port forwarding and extra fees for remote access. Installers can remotely upload/download programming changes to M1 controls over IP or cellular using ElkRP2. Consumers can control the M1 remotely via the free ElkLink mobile app and web portal, as well as eKeypad and M1 Touch Pro apps. Other IP-based software and interface partners can connect to the M1 control over the local network through C1M1. C1M1 also provides email/text notifications for arm, disarm, and alarm events. ELK-C1M14GSM supports GSM (AT&T/T-Mobile) networks and ELK-C1M1CDMA supports CDMA (Verizon) networks.
