TrueConf has introduced a new licensing method for the TrueConf Server video conferencing solution. The dedicated server option for closed networks is now available as a subscription with monthly recurrent payments.
Licensing with payment on a monthly basis is a step forward for next-generation IT managers who use a monthly purchase and budgeting model when dealing with cloud service providers. What differentiates TrueConf Server from cloud solutions is that a subscription covers the on-premises product installed and running independently in a customer's network.
This new licensing option also allows to customers to dynamically increase or reduce the license scope on a monthly basis, aligning it with the company size and number of customer subsidiaries. Funds are deducted automatically and there is no further cost to the client.
TrueConf Server monthly licenses include a wide range of capabilities. These include support for all types of video conferences, conference scheduling and recording, access to collaboration tools, federation capability for multiple ТrueConf Servers, and native client applications for all popular desktop and mobile platforms.
Dmitry Odintsov, TrueConf Development CEO, comments: "The cloud model of corporate software licensing is a new way of doing things for us, but why not try it if it is demanded by customers?"
"The subscription format allows to deploy fully-fledged video conferencing system without the need to invest in expensive video conferencing infrastructure, while at the same time retaining total control over the safety and availability of communications. Cloud service providers simply cannot offer this," Mr. Odintsov says.
