KVMSwitchTech is happy to announce the expansion of their Modular Matrix Switches with the new eight channel input and output card MOD-MTX series. These new Multi-Video format Switches support the same mix of analog and digital formats that customers came to rely upon including VGA, DVI-D, HDMI and HDBaseT.

Multi-Video format Matrix Switchers excel in areas where legacy equipment needs to interface with modern equipment. They use dedicated hardware solutions to scale and convert from one format to the next. They are also great for protection against future changes as the modular format allows changing from one format to the next as equipment changes, as well as allowing for expansion to larger scale switches through additional cards in empty slots.

Among the great new features in the new modular matrix switch series are a dedicated backplane DVI-D output for local monitoring; an enhanced graphical user interface for user control through either TCP/IP or RS232; and optional 3-play, 4-play, or 5-play HDBaseT cards that allow the users greater customization based on use cases.

Yale Real Living™ Assure Lock™ with Bluetooth

The new Yale Real Living™ Assure Lock™ with Bluetooth replaces conventional keys with digital keys accessed through the Yale Digital Keys app for Android and iOS mobile devices, and through an app for the new Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch. The Yale app allows homeowners to unlock doors, send keys to others, control when others have access, get a message when someone enters, and revoke a digital key at any time. Unlocking the deadbolt couldn't be simpler, whether using the Samsung Gear S2 or a smartphone. With the new Samsung Gear S2, touch the watch app to activate the digital key, then touch the lock screen to unlock the deadbolt. With a smartphone, Yale's "Twist and Go" technology allows the user to hold the phone vertically when approaching the door, then twist it 90 degrees to unlock the deadbolt. Homeowners can also unlock the deadbolt using its capacitive touchscreen and a four- to eight-digit code.
