InFocus Doubles Down on Education; Announces Inspire Education Program To Enable Advanced Technology in all Classrooms

Company leans on 30-year commitment developing solutions that make learning easier, more visual and interactive and creates a new program in support of putting more displays into classrooms

PORTLAND, Ore. - Jan. 26, 2016 — To connect teachers and students, InFocus Corporation (www.infocus.com) is bolstering its long-standing tradition of delivering education technologies that effectively, easily, and affordably help education succeed. In support of this initiative, InFocus is enhancing its focus on the education market, with products, extended services and support as well, as discount programs, to make it possible to have advanced technology in every classroom. One proof of InFocus' dedication to the education market is today's launch of the Inspire Education Program, which offers schools additional discounts and extended warranties, beyond its traditional program, on presentation and collaboration solutions tailored for the classroom, including the InFocus JTouch interactive displays, InFocus Mondopad, InFocus Q Tablets and projectors with built-in wireless abilities.

"InFocus has been advancing the use of technology in the classroom for more than 30 years. To amplify learning with visual technology is not only more engaging, it means higher retention. This is why we design specific products to fit the classroom needs at a price every classroom can afford. It's the democratization of technology. We don't just want our products to be in the businesses or schools who have deep pockets. We are making student-centric technology that is affordable enough for every classroom," said Mark Housley, InFocus CEO. "Our new Inspire Education mission shows our heightened investment and focus in education."

InFocus will continue offering its four-percent discount for all education, and public sector customers. In addition, the new Inspire InFocus Education Program, available through authorized resellers, will offer K-12 schools, school districts, colleges and universities deeper discounts on select products tailored to the needs of those environments. Through the Inspire Program, school's investments in projectors and touch displays will also be protected with longer warranties. Projectors and JTouch interactive displays purchased through Inspire will have three-year warranties.

Our lives at home and the office are made easier and more productive with technologies that work together easily with smartphones, smart TVs, tablets, and computers. InFocus believes we can advance student achievement through technological experiences that are equally as engaging and easy to use. InFocus equips educators with tools that help bring lessons to life for students of all ages and abilities.
