ATEN Debuts KVM over IP Switches with Fastest Virtual Media Transmission in Class

ATEN's 4th Generation KVM over IP switches provide twice as fast virtual media transmission speed, advanced FPGA graphics processing and high-grade security

Taipei, Taiwan (November 12, 2015) - ATEN International Co., Ltd., the leading provider of IT connectivity and management solutions, today announced the release of its KN8 Series, the company's 4th generation KVM over IP switches. The KN8 Series delivers twice the virtual media speed of other models in its class, boosting the productivity of routine IT operations such as software patching.

"In the past, one of the key focuses for IT administrators was remote server room access. With the growing trends in video technology and rich data processing, the traditional KVM over IP struggles to meet customers' requirements. Our KN8 Series marks a new generation of KVM over IP solution with enhanced features built to satisfy today's customer," said Kevin Chen, President of ATEN International.

ATEN's KN8 Series features improved video quality, security and virtual media transmission. Thanks to the integration of a new, more powerful FPGA graphics processor that provides optimum high-definition (HD) video output, local and remote consoles can display a server's UI at 1920 x 1200 HD resolution. By ensuring that video performance is smooth and lag-free and that static graphics are sharp and vivid, these improvements are especially beneficial to audiovisual-intensive applications in broadcast and post-production industries.

The KN8 Series implements strict security standards (FIPS 140-2 compliant) which provide secure remote authentication and access that meet U.S. federal government information security mandates. The KN8 Series' assurance of data confidentiality and integrity of information is ideal for banking and business operations.

ATEN's KN8 Series supports a variety of applications:
• Broadcast and post-production uses such as reviewing HD video, graphics, audio and animation.
• Banking and finance organizations distributing security patches and implementing media applications.
• Manufacturing companies reviewing machinery operation videos.

ELK Products -C1M1 Dual-Path Alarm Communicators with Remote Services

C1M1 offers a truly significant reduction in transmission time in comparison to other communicators that rely on dial capture or data bus decoding. This can result in quicker response time to emergency situations which could save lives and assets. By providing both IP and cellular pathways, C1M1 provides the reliability installers are looking for in an alarm communicator. C1M1 eliminates port forwarding and extra fees for remote access. Installers can remotely upload/download programming changes to M1 controls over IP or cellular using ElkRP2. Consumers can control the M1 remotely via the free ElkLink mobile app and web portal, as well as eKeypad and M1 Touch Pro apps. Other IP-based software and interface partners can connect to the M1 control over the local network through C1M1. C1M1 also provides email/text notifications for arm, disarm, and alarm events. ELK-C1M14GSM supports GSM (AT&T/T-Mobile) networks and ELK-C1M1CDMA supports CDMA (Verizon) networks.
