SAVANT ANNOUNCES A NEW LINE OF AFFORDABLE HOME TECHNOLOGY PRODUCTS, INCLUDING BREAKTHROUGH REMOTE FOR UNPARALLELED ENTERTAINMENT EXPERIENCE

Simple setup through Savant Instant lets homeowners start enjoying all their entertainment in minutes.

HYANNIS, MASS. — October 13, 2015 — Savant, a leader in smart home technology, today unveiled the Savant Remote. Combining the convenience of a universal remote with the power of home automation, the Savant Remote simplifies the entertainment experience for consumers, letting them control devices like Sonos, Apple TV, cable boxes, Roku, and even their lights, from a single device.

The Savant Remote is part of Savant's new family of wireless devices, which also includes the Savant Host, Blaster, and Lamp Controller—all designed in collaboration with award-winning design studio Ammunition, led by renowned industrial designer Robert Brunner. Utilizing the same cutting-edge technology found in Savant's Pro line of luxury products, these affordable new devices make premium home automation available to everyone for the first time.

"This new affordable line of products builds on our years of experience in the luxury market, designing technology that makes enjoying home easier and more personal," said William Lynch, Savant CEO. "Our aim with the new Savant Remote was to create an easy to use but incredibly powerful entertainment interface, and address the major sources of frustration with traditional and universal remotes."

The Only Remote You Need

The Savant Remote offers consumers an unmatched interactive experience. Users can control over 380,000 of today's most popular entertainment devices and switch easily between their favorites. The high-resolution touchscreen eliminates the need for extra buttons by elevating additional controls when necessary. Control happens wirelessly via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi without requiring any line of sight between the Remote and your entertainment system.

Homeowners can also use the Savant Remote to control their lights with the new Savant Lamp Control, creating instant ambiance in any room with a tap.

Voice commands offer another simple method of control. Users can simply say "FOOD NETWORK" to watch their favorite channels, or "APPLE TV" when they want to browse for a new movie. Homeowners can also use voice controls to activate their own Savant scenes, like "RELAX," which could cue up a mellow Sonos playlist and dim the lights, or "GOODNIGHT," which would turn everything off.

Personalized profiles give every family member their own remote experience, with all their favorite channels and scenes just a tap or voice command away—while limited-access profiles let guests enjoy the benefits of Savant when they're visiting.

Use the Savant App for Instant Setup

Savant also introduced Savant Instant™, an in-app guided setup for the new family of devices that gets users up and running in minutes. The app quickly walks users through each step of the setup process, and helps them connect all their entertainment devices without needing to know specific model types or model numbers. "This is by far the easiest universal remote on the market to set up," added Lynch. "We named it Savant Instant for a reason."

Savant Instant is just one of the new features of the redesigned Savant App. The interface has been streamlined for simplicity, offering even faster access to controls of scenes, services, and settings. The Savant App is available for free on both iOS and Android.

New Products Available in Early December

Savant's new family of devices will be available in early December, just in time for the holidays. The Savant Remote is available as part of an entertainment package that includes the Savant Remote, Host, and Blaster. The Host is the center of every Savant Home solution, communicating wirelessly with other devices to create the experience of home automation. The Blaster lets homeowners control devices in closed cabinets, reaching cable boxes, receivers, and other devices outside the line of sight of the Remote. The Savant Remote + Host entertainment package will cost $499. Lamp Controllers will be available separately for $99 each, giving homeowners the ability to turn lamps on and off from anywhere using either the Savant Remote or Savant App. To reserve any of these products, and for more information about Savant, visit www.savant.com.
