C.E.D. Establishes New Dealer Relationships at 16th Annual Fall Ball

Midwest regional distributor, and member of the PowerHouse Alliance expands annual event to three separate locations and provides exclusive deals alongside vendor-driven trainings and demos.

Northbrook, IL - October 7, 2015 - C.E.D, a premium regional distributor of name brand consumer and specialty electronics for the Chicago metropolitan market and broader Midwest, hosted dealers and manufacturers at three different events for their 16th annual Fall Ball series. Local dealers from their five state territory were able to experience and receive training on new products such as Yamaha MusicCast before they head out to CEDIA Expo next week.

With representatives from nearly 30 manufacturers, 300 dealers flocked to C.E.D.'s Northbrook, IL headquarters, New Berlin, WI location and for the first time, their Bloomington, MN location to see the new fall product lines, network with other local professionals and secure exclusive deals. There were plenty of new faces alongside dedicated C.E.D. customers who look forward to this longstanding event each year for the myriad of opportunities it creates.

"I've been bringing my team to the C.E.D. Fall Ball event for three years now, and it never fails to impress with the countless product specials, manufacturers in attendance and trainings," said Joe Nicorata, Owner of Umbrella Business Solutions. "The team at C.E.D. puts in the effort to make their Fall Ball a personalized experience and productive day for everyone who stops by."

For well over a decade, the event has paired attendees with one-on-one access to leading manufacturers in addition to personalized training sessions throughout the day. This year, C.E.D. brought in representatives from Yamaha and LG to each host three training sessions on their latest products that dealers will be working with.

"Every year, we put our heads together and come up with fresh ideas to make each event different, and more successful than the last," said Avery Baron, President of C.E.D. "We brought in trainers and representatives from the brands that are currently shaping the marketplace and gave our customers a chance to see the resources we have as a distribution partner."

Attendees at all three events were also treated to exclusive ‘one-day-only' sales and inventory opportunities such as extended dating on qualified orders and competitive pricing specials on fall lines. According to Fall Ball tradition, C.E.D. kept the house packed as attendees waited to hear their name called for hundreds of raffle prizes, including 3 LG OLED TVs valued near $7,000 each.

Manufacturer representatives from LG, Clare Controls, Nest, Luxul and many more received valuable face-time with both their existing and potential customer base and built up the excitement and buzz around their brand before CEDIA Expo.

"The entire team at C.E.D. is resourceful and creative and they have been a dedicated business partner not only to us as a manufacturer, but to the dealers who buy our products," said Jaime Pasley, Key Account Manager at JVC. "Their sales staff does a great job getting new dealers in the door, especially at this event, and is always finding new ways to move our products off the shelves."

"As we head into CEDIA Expo and the final quarter of the year, we feel confident that we have armed our dealers with powerful sales, product and marketing knowledge through these three events," added Baron. "We want to continue to be a valuable resource and trusted partner year after year as we near the 20th Anniversary of the Fall Ball."
