Drive Trust Alliance Promotes Use of Self Encrypted Storage
San Jose, CA—October 2, 2015—The Storage Visions Conference, January 4 & 5, 2016 at the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas, is pleased to announce special session on Storage Device Security put on by the Drive Trust Alliance. The conference theme is: Storage for the Next 5,000 Years (inspired by the Egyptian motifs at the Luxor Hotel). The conference preliminary agenda can be seen at: http://www.storagevisions.com/2016Agenda.htm.
The Drive Trust Alliance (DTA) aimed at solving the Self-Encrypted Drive (SED) adoption problem. The Drive Trust Alliance is an alliance of companies, organizations, and individuals that will benefit from cost efficiencies in marketing on-going education and the creation and support of open source software for managing SEDs.
The special session is called Drive Trust: Protecting Our Stuff. This session covers the challenges facing security and protection of stored content, including content on mobile devices as well as at home and in the cloud. It explores the reasons why OPAL based client encrypted storage will be a key factor in data security. Standardized security products are making data security easier than ever while enabling desired content sharing.
