Minneapolis, MN (July 21, 2015) — Global restaurant technology leader WAND Corporation has debuted new high definition video walls at several restaurant locations throughout the United States. Video walls are a growing opportunity for restaurant owners as competition grows fiercer and customers look for unique restaurant experiences.

"Video walls have become one of the best ways restaurants can stand out from the crowd and showcase their brand," says Chuck Gehman, VP of Product Management at WAND Corporation, whose team developed the WAND video wall. "They have been on the horizon for a long time but recently the ball has tipped and the demand for this content-rich medium has really picked up."
Gehman says the increase in demand for video walls stems from two things. First, due to recent technological advancements, video walls are much less expensive than they used to be and can now be used pretty much anywhere. Second, video walls captivate customer attention and can be used for a variety of purposes such as showcasing a brand's latest television ad, represent a brand's personality or promote key products to incite last-minute purchases.

The most recent WAND video wall was installed at a new Whole Foods store in Playa Vista, California and WAND has plans to install more at several different QSR and Fast Casual concepts throughout the US. Content is managed in the industry leading WAND Digital CMS platform, allowing campaigns to be efficiently controlled from the store, or from the marketing department. Assets such as video and animations can be repurposed from the web, TV and other media, sharing across Digital Menu Boards, POP displays and Video Walls—all in an easy-to-use interface that can be accessed from anywhere, via a web browser or WAND's whole TRM Mobile app.

"It's a fun time to be in the restaurant technology business. There are some awesome things brands can do with these new types of mediums and it's great to see brands exploring all they can do." says Gehman.
