Schlage Control Smart Locks Featuring ENGAGE Technology Launch at the National Apartment Association Conference

Innovative Multifamily Keyless Locks Offer Increased Efficiency, Profitability for Owners

CARMEL, Ind.--Schlage, a brand of Allegion plc synonymous with technologically advanced locks, is unveiling its newest innovation: Schlage Control Smart Locks with ENGAGE Technology. The new offering will be showcased at the National Apartment Association (NAA) Education Conference and Exposition from June 24-27 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Convention Center in Las Vegas.

Specifically designed for multi-unit owners, Schlage Control Smart Locks play a major role in providing access control for all resident entrances and common areas within a single property, while reducing time on maintenance and overall management costs.

With no-tour functionality and smart credentials that eliminate the need to manage keys, Schlage Control Smart Locks offer unparalleled convenience and efficiency for multifamily property and building owners.

"Schlage Control Smart Locks lead the next generation of efficiency-boosting capabilities for larger multi-unit dwellings, allowing properties to focus on operating more profitably," said Chris DeSchamp, Schlage smart home evangelist and portfolio leader. "We focused on providing a compelling ROI for the property owner through keyless convenience and increased security, while heightening the appeal for residents. With ENGAGE Technology, locks can be controlled through the cloud using mobile applications and can be integrated with third-party access control platforms."

Partnering with the best software platform providers in the access control space, Schlage offers a solution specifically tailored to multifamily customer needs. Schlage Control Smart Locks are designed to work with a variety of access control platforms, and will be compatible with the CBORD and StratIS solutions at launch.

Schlage Control Smart Locks put multifamily residents in the driver's seat by allowing them to use their phones as keys via the aptiQmobileTM app or another third-party application. Accessed with a simple app, each lock can be intuitively managed using a mobile device to provide accessibility for tenants.

Combining security, efficiency and style, all Schlage Control Smart Locks are 100 percent pickproof and bump proof. Additionally, all locks feature a BHMA Grade 2 certification, enabling them to withstand excessive force such as kicks, sledgehammer and crowbar attacks. Schlage Control Smart Locks can also provide visibility to past activity, time zones and audit trails that can be retrieved to assist in tracking suspicious activity. Schlage ControlTM Smart Locks are UL fire-rated, and all door levers and deadbolt paddles are ADA compliant.

Schlage Control Smart Locks will be shipping by the end of 2015. As a smart and stylish leader in door hardware, Schlage's new line will be offered in multiple designs and finishes to complement other hardware in the home and enhance the styling of the property. The Schlage Control Smart Deadbolt and Smart Interconnected Lock will be available in the Greenwich and Addison styles, and finish options will include Satin Nickel, Aged Bronze, Satin Chrome and Bright Chrome.
