Tech Industry Leaders, Media and "Techfluencers" Talk Trends and Get Hands on with the Hottest New Tech Products

More than 175 companies participated in CE week including B&H, Buick, Dolby, Epson, HP, Hyundai, LG Electronics, Onkyo, Pandora, Pioneer, Samsung, Seiki, Sony, TiVO, WowWee and Westinghouse.

New York City, NY ─ June 25, 2015 ─ CE Week 2015 concluded today after three jam-packed days of interactive exhibits, engaging conference sessions and live press events. From connected cars to high-res audio, robots to 3D printing, smart home solutions to smart money, digital health to wearable tech, the show covered technology for every aspect of your life for everyone in the family, including infants, seniors and even pets. The largest consumer electronics (CE) event in New York City, CE Week brought together government officials to celebrate the city's young student innovators, local designer Chris March of Project Runway to prove wearable tech can be chic, and rising "techfluencers" from the getgeeked community who competed to be the next star YouTube product reviewer. Over the course of the three days, there were hundreds of products on display and more than 130 tech industry leaders who participated in more than 30 conference sessions, attracting thousands of media and CE industry professionals from across the nation.

The week kicked off with a major announcement from Buick at the C3 Connected Car Conference: Buick will be offering Apple CarPlay capability in all 2016 Regal and LaCrosse models. Attendees had the opportunity to experience Apple CarPlay in a Buick LaCrosse, along with in-car demos from Pioneer and QNX/Maserati. The Connected Car Conference, focused on game-changing behind-the-wheel innovations and featured executives from AAA, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover and Pandora.

Advanced audio/video products took center stage at Your Next TV and Your Next Audio Conferences featuring executives from major audio/video companies including Sony, LG, Samsung and Dolby, discussing the technologies that are enhancing the TV and audio experience for consumers. Evening fun included an opening night party at B&H Photos iconic store where food, drink and technology flowed.

The CE Week Conference Program covered hot topics across the industry including 3D printing, health and fitness tech, robotics, augmented reality, smart home, high-resolution audio, digital money and wearables. Moderators and panelists included tech thought leaders from: ABC News, Digital Trends, NPD, Mashable, Engadget, Yahoo Tech, USA Today, Gear Diary, Laptop Magazine/Tom's Guide, Fierce Retail, PCMag, ChipChick, CoinAgenda and more.

Several companies hosted press conferences throughout CE Week making major product announcements including Monster, Pioneer and Adlens. Sengled, Vivitek, Pioneer, HearNotes, clip&talk, Oomi, The Padcaster, Formlabs, NeoLab Convergence and Monster took to the CE Week Demo Stage for exciting demos and presentations.

CE Week partnered with the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) to honor ten enterprising New York City students from across the five boroughs at the inaugural '10 Under 20: Young Innovators to Watch' awards competition. Their winning projects included everything from robots to apps, from security devices to microtubes, and covered areas as diverse as home automation, health, special needs and social networking.

The hottest technologies merged with the latest fashion in the FashionWare Runway Show on Wednesday evening. The show, hosted by Project Runway's Chris March, featured the latest in wearable tech including smart fabrics, embedded sensors, smart jewelry and more.

Several product awards were given out during CE Week including the Best of Show, presented by Dealerscope. The Innovation Zone Technovation Award was presented to Seek Thermal for its Smartphone Thermal Imaging Camera, with finalists including BodiMetrics for its Performance Monitor, and Roost, which showcased its Roost 9V Smart Battery for Smoke Alarms.

Five "techfluencers" from the getgeeked community were selected to conduct product reviews in front of a live audience and a panel of judges in the America's Got Geek competition. Finalists went head-to-head, reviewing products from Monster, Sony, The Padcaster, WowWee and Ozobot. Ultimately, Francil Richards took home the title of The Next Great YouTube Product Reviewer, wowing the judges with his review of The Padcaster.
