InfoComm - TEKVOX Announces Third Generation TekMonitor AV System Controller

Features in New Generation Enable Universal Control, IoT Sensor Gateway for Low Power Beacons and Unprecedented Expansion Capability

Austin, Texas June 17, 2015

TEKVOX introduces the TEK 3, the third generation of the TekMonitor networked AV and Room Controller series. This new design adds greater flexibility to the TEKVOX control products by allowing control of any AV or building automation device that offers a control protocol and an RS232, Infrared or IP interface.

Unlike other control systems using a centralized controller and custom programming, a TekMonitor is designed as a monitored distributed control system with device drivers and asset management. As an energy savings device, the TEK 3 is designed to easily connect to occupancy or motion sensors. TekMonitor products are easily configured in minutes utilizing TekWizard, a component of the bundled TekManager software suite, which offers an intuitive step-by-step setup process.

The TEK 3 includes a new TekBus expansion interface provides an RS-485 serial interface and power supply to expansion modules and TekTouchPad. This allows for easy addition of low power relays, logic IO, multiple IoT sensors and external wired and wireless communications modules including wireless beacons. The flexible design enables the interface to be configured as a third RS232 serial port.

"With the TEK 3, TEKVOX is bringing the full benefit of the Internet of Things (IoT) to the AV control market", stated Jim Reinhart, TEKVOX CEO. Reinhart added, "As a fully capable AV controller in addition to a fully modern sensor control gateway, the TEK 3 will bring unprecedented convergence between AV and IoT. Beacon technology for automating both human factors and asset management will be the norm and comprehensive acquisition and processing of multi-sensor data for analytics will revolutionize administration and building management functions. TEKVOX is leading both the innovation in technology and in total cost of ownership".

PureLink - HCE III TX/RX: 4K HDR over HDBaseT Extension System w/ Control and Bi-Directional PoE

The HCE III Tx/Rx HDBaseT™ extension system offers full HDMI 2.0 compliance supporting HDR (High Dynamic Range) and 4K@60Hz with 4:4:4 chroma sampling. Featuring PureLink's proprietary Prcis codec, a light compression technology, the HCE III can transport Ultra HD/4K, multi-channel audio, and High Dynamic Range (10 bits support) content over a single CATx cable. The HCE III provides HDMI extension up to 130 feet (40 meters) at Ultra HD/4K and up to 230 ft. (70 meters) at 1080p over category cable with embedded multi-channel audio, CEC pass-through, bi-directional RS-232 and IR control, and PoE - all with zero loss and zero noise. The HCE III Tx/Rx also supports Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HD Master Audio plus LCPM (up to 192 kHz). Additionally, the low profile "slim box" enclosure design make the HCE III ideal for limited space installation environments, such as behind flat panel displays and video walls.
