Amina - No More Cables in Campden Hill

A stone's throw from Windsor Castle... the 19th century public house, not the Queen'sresidenceinBerkshire. TheCampdenHillareaofLondon, sitshigh on the hill boasting tree-lined streets of Victorian architectural elegance that form part of the Phillimore Estate.

Beyond the facades, modern day living has transformed the interior architecture of these grand houses, but for the owners of this beautiful property, therewasgoingtobenocompromise. Witharequirementfor extensive technology throughout the house, the only stipulation made by the owner was that all the electronics were to be rendered completely invisible.

This has given a natural flow to the home and allowed the spirit of the house to live on into a new millennia.

A total of thirty Amina Invisible Loudspeakers were installed over five floors and sixteen zones, Amina being the easy choice for the homeowners, not only to meet the exceptional aesthetic criteria of the project, but for the excellent sound and room-filling qualities Amina speakers produce.

Amina ‘Evolution' series were used throughout this extensive family home, including the five Bedrooms, Office, Dining Room, Drawing Room, Gym, Staff Room,AVRoom,LibraryandDressingRoom.
The two 5.1 Surround Sound Systems in the subterranean playroom and lower ground family room, as well as gym and office, use Amina AIW550E and also incorporate in-wall Velodyne subs.

The highlights for the homeowners were, the kitchen, where a pair of AIW350E installed in-ceiling, provide music encompassing the whole room. And the formal drawing room, installed with just one pair of Amina's flagship AIW750E speakers, effortlessly delivers high quality audio, perfect for entertaining.
The whole system, including audio & video distribution, security, Lutron lighting system, video Intercom, Heating and Cooling, has been seamlessly integrated and programmed to be entirely controlled by a Control4 processor via discrete 7'' touch panels in every room.

A masterpiece of perfection, the finished look, which took over 18-months to complete, is flawless. A stark contrast to the 15 miles of Cat 6a data cables running behind the walls and the project's outset.
Proving what a huge feat it has been for all involved and the skill required to complete such a sizeable custom installation.

Yale Real Living™ Assure Lock™ with Bluetooth

The new Yale Real Living™ Assure Lock™ with Bluetooth replaces conventional keys with digital keys accessed through the Yale Digital Keys app for Android and iOS mobile devices, and through an app for the new Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch. The Yale app allows homeowners to unlock doors, send keys to others, control when others have access, get a message when someone enters, and revoke a digital key at any time. Unlocking the deadbolt couldn't be simpler, whether using the Samsung Gear S2 or a smartphone. With the new Samsung Gear S2, touch the watch app to activate the digital key, then touch the lock screen to unlock the deadbolt. With a smartphone, Yale's "Twist and Go" technology allows the user to hold the phone vertically when approaching the door, then twist it 90 degrees to unlock the deadbolt. Homeowners can also unlock the deadbolt using its capacitive touchscreen and a four- to eight-digit code.
