CABLETRONIX Announces the Release of the CT-EDID-1 HDMI Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) Manager

This device resolves frustrating "handshake" issues between HDMI connected sources and displays.

April 24, 2015 - West Chester, PA

CABLETRONIX is proud to introduce the CT-EDID-1 Extended Display Identification Data Manager and Controller. This device resolves frustrating "handshake" issues between HDMI connected sources and displays.

HDMI transmission and display devices encompass multiple EDID protocols which need to harmonize to show proper audio and video. Inconsistencies or conflicts with the digital handshake result in problems spanning audio and video sync, resolution issues, or no picture and/or audio. The growth of 4K, 3D, and CEC technologies (consumer electronic control) make EDID management essential. The CT-EDID-1 locks the resolution of HDMI sources to mitigate handshake issues between sources and devices such as HDMI splitters, switches, receivers, and more by using a comprehensive list of sixteen resolutions and audio formats to ensure compatibility between HD sources.

"I am particularly excited by this release", states North American Cable Equipment, Inc. CEO Aaron Starr. "This is a unique piece for the installer in need of resolving troubling HDMI handshake issues. Our design team worked to put together this small, economical, and versatile unit to assure communications with various signal types used in the market today", continued Starr. "This is a great little tool to keep in your kit and get your installation out of a jam."

Comelit - VIP Kit With Planux Monitor With WIFI/3G/4G Remote APP - 8512IM

The kit allows use of the video entry phone system via a door entry monitor as well as tablets and smartphones on the Wi-Fi network, or remotely on 3G (or higher) networks. The gateway in the pack allows connection of other devices (Comelit VIP door entry monitors or PCs) besides the door entry monitor supplied. In all cases, the gateway should be connected to an ASDL router or another device guaranteeing local Wi-Fi and mobile 3G connectivity. Depending on bandwidth limitations, the gateway can serve up to 15 appliances (including door entry monitors, smartphones, tablets and PCs) with 4 simultaneous door entry monitor streams. It also allows "intercom" communication between all of the 16 devices served. For mobile devices, whenever both modes are available and enabled, the app automatically switches. .
