Protecode Announces Partnership with Source Code Control in the UK

Source Code Control to Help Customers Leverage the Benefits of Open Source License Management Solutions

OTTAWA, CANADA & KENT, UNITED KINGDOM - April 14, 2015 - Protecode, a leading provider of open source management solutions, today announced the expansion of its presence in the UK through a partnership with Source Code Control Limited.

Per the agreement, Source Code Control Ltd. will provide the UK market with support for Protecode's complete open source management solution. This includes:
• Protecode Enterprise System 4TM - a scalable workflow, scanning, and management solution for enterprises, suitable for large, multi-location organisations.
• Protecode CompactTM - a single seat code scanning solution that maintains all scanning and discovery features of its enterprise counterpart; best suited for smaller companies or individual departments within larger organisations.
• Software code auditing services - for UK organisations that intend to gain a clear insight into the composition of the software included in a financial transaction. Protecode can also bring their expertise to legal cases where an insight into code similarity between two or more portfolios is of interest.

"We have witnessed an increase in open source adoption in the UK in both the private and public sectors. Partnering with Protecode allows us to offer the solutions necessary to innovate with open source, while avoiding potential challenges associated with third party code," Martin Callinan, director, Source Code Control Ltd.

Protecode's products and services enable organisations to manage open source adoption at every stage of the product lifecycle. Protecode products scan code portfolios and create an inventory of open source, commercial, and proprietary code. Protecode products automatically report on all open source and third party content and any associated licenses, license obligations, security vulnerabilities, and encryption content.

Protecode will host a webinar titled, "Open Source Software: What Are Your Obligations" on April 23, 2015, presented by Martin Callinan of Source CodeControl Ltd., and Andrew Katz of Moorcrofts LLP. For more information and to register for the webinar, click here.

ELK Products -C1M1 Dual-Path Alarm Communicators with Remote Services

C1M1 offers a truly significant reduction in transmission time in comparison to other communicators that rely on dial capture or data bus decoding. This can result in quicker response time to emergency situations which could save lives and assets. By providing both IP and cellular pathways, C1M1 provides the reliability installers are looking for in an alarm communicator. C1M1 eliminates port forwarding and extra fees for remote access. Installers can remotely upload/download programming changes to M1 controls over IP or cellular using ElkRP2. Consumers can control the M1 remotely via the free ElkLink mobile app and web portal, as well as eKeypad and M1 Touch Pro apps. Other IP-based software and interface partners can connect to the M1 control over the local network through C1M1. C1M1 also provides email/text notifications for arm, disarm, and alarm events. ELK-C1M14GSM supports GSM (AT&T/T-Mobile) networks and ELK-C1M1CDMA supports CDMA (Verizon) networks.
