SAN DIEGO - April 9, 2015 - Satechi, manufacturers of convenient and user friendly devices for the home office, car and travel, is excited to announce a new category to its robust list of product solutions. The two new products being introduced in the IQ Series are the Spectrum IQ Bulb and IQ Plug. Both Bluetooth-enabled solutions allow users to control lighting and other devices via an app, directly from the user's Android or iOS smartphone or tablet, while also conserving energy and costs.

Satechi IQ Spectrum Bulb

The Spectrum IQ Bulb is an 8 Watt, energy-efficient, LED lightbulb that fits into any standard socket. It allows users to enjoy up to 25,000 hours of lighting, using 10% less energy than an incandescent bulb. With up to 16 million colors to choose from, the IQ Bulb is sure to fit any user's mood and needs, and can even be set in Disco Mode to sync the lighting to the beat of the music. The Satechi LED Spectrum app allows users to control up to 10 bulbs at once or individually including functions such as turning them on/off, dimming or brightening, and timer and scheduling functions.

Satechi IQ Plug

The IQ Plug lets users control electronics and small appliances easily from the palm of their hand. The user friendly device converts existing home electronics or small appliances - such as a TV, fan, lamp, humidifier, and more - into Bluetooth-enabled ones that can be controlled from an app. The IQ Plug app measures power consumption of individual appliances and compares daily, weekly, or monthly energy consumption, allowing users to schedule appliances to on and off at certain times to reduce energy waste.
