The Octava Ethernet over coax Extender , IPC600, extends 100Mbps Ethernet data over standard coaxial video cable.

Norcross, Ga Jan 15, 2015- Octava Inc., solution provider of video and network infrastructure equipment, releases their new Octava IPC600 Ethernet over Coax Extender.

The Octava IPC600 enables system integrators to upgrade analog video security cameras systems to IP network based cameras which require 10/100Mbps data transmission while utilizing the existing RG59/6 coax cable that is already installed. The IPC600 Ethernet over Coax EoC extender supports 10/100Mbps data and Power Over Ethernet. The IPC600 includes a Network unit (transmitter) and a Receiver (camera side unit) and powered via PoE Ethernet switch. In addition, the IPC600 when connected to a PoE switch or injector can provide power to the connected IP Network Camera using IEEE 802.3af/at standards.
