Boulder, CO, January 5, 2015-At CES 2015, PS Audio is proud to show the final pre-production prototypes of the Bascom H. King Signature 250 Amplifier. First shown in prototype form at Rocky Mountain Audio Fest in October, the BHK Signature 250 stereo power amplifier features a triode front end followed by all-MOSFET circuitry, including the output stage.
Power ratings for the amplifier are 250/watt per channel into 8ohms, 400/watt per channel into 4. The amplifier will also be available as a monoblock in the Bascom H. King Signature 300.
The BHK is the first product in PS' history to feature vacuum tubes, and is expected to be in full production by May, 2015, and will be launched at the Munich High End show. MSRP in the US market is projected at $7499 for the stereo and monoblock versions.
Sprout, the all-in-one integrated amplifier launched in a successful Kickstarter campaign last summer, is now shipping to our dealers and distributors worldwide. We're proud to say that all our Kickstarter backers have received their units; some of our backers sent their reactions to #sprouthifi, and those can be seen in the Sprout Gallery at: http://www.psaudio.com/sprout/
In our suite, Sprout is shown in a simple, high-quality system along with Golden Ear Aon 3 loudspeakers.
PS will be in a suite at The Mirage, Wednesday and Thursday during CES.
Suite numbers are unassigned until check-in; please call Bill Leebens for further details: (941) 807-7880.
Elsewhere at CES, Ted Smith, the Hawaiian-shirt-wearing lead designer of our DirectStream DAC, will participate in a panel discussion, "Hi-Res Audio: Breaking the Barriers." The panel will be held Wednesday, January 7, 11:00-11:45 AM in the Hi-Res Audio Workshop, Bellini Ballroom 2001 in The Venetian. Moderated by Robert Harley, Editor of The Absolute Sound, the panel will also include:
David Steven, Managing Director, dCS Ltd.; Bob Stuart, Founder/Chairman, Meridian Audio Ltd.; Ray Kimber, Founder/President, Kimber Kable; and Aaron Levine, Marketing Manager, Sony Electronics.
We're honored to have PS represented amidst such illustrious company.
Our friends at GoldenEar Technology will be using our Memory Player and DirectStream DAC in their exhibits; visit them in the Venetian Tower, rooms 29-131 and 29-132.
