Girard, Ohio - December 30, 2014 - SVS, a worldwide leader in high performance home audio products, is making major sound waves at CES with one of the first demonstrations of the new Tidal high fidelity music streaming service, and the debut of all-new speakers and subwoofers, plus a special guest appearance by the brand-new Emotiva XMC-1 preamp-processor. SVS will offer both stereo and surround sound demonstrations featuring its Ultra Series and Prime Series loudspeakers, and the unique and iconic PC-2000 Cylinder Subwoofer with exhilarating content not available anywhere else at CES.
SVS, an Ohio-based audio company, will feature three separate demo systems at CES to highlight the broadening appeal of both two-channel audio systems as well as surround sound systems for music and home theater. With its vision of bringing world-class audio experiences to a broader audience than was previously possible, SVS will be a disruptive force at the Venetian, normally a haven for systems only the affluent few can afford.
"SVS takes pride in bringing immersive and rewarding home audio experiences to a broader range of movie and music enthusiasts," said Gary Yacoubian, president, SVS. "We are beyond excited to debut our Prime Series speakers, PC-2000 subwoofer, and Emotiva's new pre-pro in our CES suite and attendees are in for a real audio treat when they hear a demo of Tidal's high fidelity audio streaming service for the first time in the U.S."
Tidal is the first music streaming service that combines the best high fidelity sound quality, high definition music videos and expertly curated editorial into one streaming platform.
SVS will present two separate surround sound demos featuring the new Prime Series family of speakers as well as a two-channel system that features the acclaimed Ultra Tower and Ultra Bookshelf Speakers driven by the new Emotiva XMC-1 preamp/processor.
The Prime Series, a versatile line of high performance speakers designed to give listeners a world class audio experience at a price that defies convention, will also be showcased at CES for the first time ever. Spawned from the acclaimed SVS Ultra Speakers, the Prime Series features decor-friendly styling and trickle-down technology that cements SVS as a mainstream high performance audio leader. SVS Prime Series speakers are available in a variety of two-channel and home theater packages, but can also be configured in any multi-channel array for use with Dolby Atmos or other surround sound formats.
Not to be over-shadowed, SVS subwoofers will also have a starring role at CES. The new PC-2000 Cylinder subwoofer, a 500-watt, 34-inch tall tower of bass with only a 16-inch footprint will feature prominently in the surround sound demonstrations as attendees are jolted by action movie sequences and concert performances. SVS subwoofers will also feature prominently in other booths. The SB13-Ultra will handle low-end duties for new Thiel Audio speakers being unveiled in Suite 30-123.
Yacoubian continued, "A high performance audio resurgence is underway thanks to many factors, many of which will be highlighted by SVS at CES. The availability of great speakers at an affordable price, growing interest in HD streaming services, better processing and audio performance in home theater and a general backlash against compressed music are all helping to usher in a new golden era of audio. There really has never been a better time to experience audio."
