Meet Smarter: Kramer introduces the VIA Family of Collaboration Products

Wireless Presentation and Collaboration Hub

Kramer Electronics is pleased to officially announce the introduction of the new VIA product line, including the award winning VIA Collage™, the VIA Connect PRO™, and the VIA Connect™. These wireless collaboration devices allow people to "Meet Smarter" through connection, collaboration, and engagement by providing them with a shared workspace that makes team collaboration in real time seamless and simple.

"We are very excited about the introduction of the VIA family of products because BYOD, collaboration and wireless applications are increasingly critical in today's converging AV/IT world. The VIA line of products offer the best solutions in the market and we are pleased to add these products to our already comprehensive line of solutions," stated Dr. Joseph Kramer, CEO of Kramer Electronics.

The VIA Collage won Best in Show awards at the 2014 InfoComm Show from Government Video Magazine, Sound & Video Contractor Magazine, and AV Technology Magazine. The VIA Collage is Kramer's most advanced and powerful collaboration hub. This wireless device solves BYOD challenges and allows for the effective integration of PC, Mac, iOS and Android devices, allowing users to wirelessly collaborate in any meeting.

With the VIA Collage, files can be shared quickly and easily between participants or with all participants at once. The VIA Collage also allows for full 1080p/60 HD video streaming and the main unit even has an HDMI input to allow the integration of an external video source. Up to 6 presenters' screens can be dynamically displayed on a single display device and up to 12 can be shown simultaneously when two display devices are used.

The VIA Collage is actually a PC so it also supports third party applications such as Skype®, Go To Meeting®, Lync®, WebEx®, PowerPoint® and much more. VIA Collage also has built'in 1024 bit encryption for information sent between the Collage and the meeting participants as well as a dynamic room code to prevent unauthorized participation in the meeting. The digital canvas created by the VIA Collage allows meeting participants to all work on the same document in real time and save the results to their device.

"VIA Collage works seamlessly in an almost spooky way. Everyone in the room can help create and edit a common document through their individual devices, then share it with others and save it to take with you. The system automatically recognizes attendees and makes connection ' and collaboration ' easy," explained Government Video Magazine.

The VIA Connect PRO and VIA Connect are both effective and compact tools that will greatly improve productivity during meetings while offering the best price'performance in the market.

The VIA Connect PRO allows users to share files, chat with other attendees and collaborate together on a shared document using the whiteboard feature from their own devices, in addition to being able to present their screens simultaneously.

The VIA Connect is a value'oriented, wireless presentation hub that can dynamically tile up to four users on a single screen and allows and attendee to step'in as the main presenter. This is the ideal compact solution for simple connectivity and engagement.

The feature benefits of the Kramer VIA family build incrementally throughout the line. All of the features from the VIA Connect are included in the VIA Connect PRO and all of the features of the VIA Connect and VIA Connect PRO can be found in the VIA Collage.

The Kramer VIA product line presents users with "Infinite Ways to Collaborate."

Yale Real Living™ Assure Lock™ with Bluetooth

The new Yale Real Living™ Assure Lock™ with Bluetooth replaces conventional keys with digital keys accessed through the Yale Digital Keys app for Android and iOS mobile devices, and through an app for the new Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch. The Yale app allows homeowners to unlock doors, send keys to others, control when others have access, get a message when someone enters, and revoke a digital key at any time. Unlocking the deadbolt couldn't be simpler, whether using the Samsung Gear S2 or a smartphone. With the new Samsung Gear S2, touch the watch app to activate the digital key, then touch the lock screen to unlock the deadbolt. With a smartphone, Yale's "Twist and Go" technology allows the user to hold the phone vertically when approaching the door, then twist it 90 degrees to unlock the deadbolt. Homeowners can also unlock the deadbolt using its capacitive touchscreen and a four- to eight-digit code.
