LOS ANGELES, CA September 03, 2014
Soundfreaq, maker of the critically acclaimed line of wireless speakers, today announces the availability of Double Spot, a mid-century modern inspired speaker that combines Soundfreaq's highly praised audio quality with a distinct design for the home. Double Spot is available in two color options - black or wood/white - on Soundfreaq.com for $129. For consumers who wish to make the speaker portable, Double Spot is also available with a pre-installed six-hour battery on Amazon.com and Soundfreaq.com for $149.
"We get asked all the time, 'What's the one speaker I should get for my home?' Double Spot is our answer. With speaker design, there's a balance between size and the output volume. Too small and a speaker won't be loud enough to fill a room and enjoy with friends, but too big and it's not convenient to move around the house and have it in all the places you want to listen to music," said Matthew Paprocki, co-founder/creative director of Soundfreaq. "Double Spot strikes that 'just right' balance that makes it an ideal one-size-fits-all home speaker for music lovers."
Double Spot, which streams music via Bluetooth 4.0, balances the sound output and clarity of traditionally larger systems, but with a modest footprint. Double Spot fills a room with sound, but also fits nicely in the home and is easy to move around. Double Spot's rich and powerful sound is delivered through two custom designed stereo drivers, pointed slightly outward to optimize sound projection and deliver stereo separation. Soundfreaq's UQ3™ spatial sound enhancement allows users to further expand the sound stage digitally for a more immersive listening experience. While Double Spot is balanced for a flat EQ, it also offers Tone Control, so users can select a warm or bright tone depending on their listening preference.
Designed for the modern music lover, Double Spot's features include a USB power port for quick and easy phone charging and line in to easily connect any device with a 3.5mm headphone jack. Double Spot also offers an optional rechargeable battery, available on Soundfreaq.com for $19, allowing users to easily move their speaker from room to room with wireless and cordless freedom. The battery easily inserts into the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit and plays Double Spot at full power with no loss in volume or bass performance for up to six hours of listening. Even while on battery power, Double Spot's USB power port can charge any device when wall power isn't nearby.
"Double Spot is the type of product that doesn't fit neatly into the typical speaker categories in the market today. But that's what makes it the type of product that we're especially proud to offer because we know it's a unique solution to a real-world need that our customers have talked to us about. Being a small, independent team, we're able to focus on listening to our customers (and to great music), more than market convention," said Paprocki.
Today, Soundfreaq is also introducing a re-vamped website, which features a new look with a responsive design and streamlined navigation. The re-designed website provides a better overall user experience and enhances the company's already well-established position as a leading wireless speaker brand.
