Sound Solutions Opens New Las Vegas Warehouse and Distribution Center

Distributor of Wharfedale and other top consumer electronics brands opens new distribution facility to expedite shipping to meet increased market demand while better serving its dealers and customers

Chicago, IL, July 16, 2014 - Sound Solutions, LLC, the exclusive U.S. distributor of Wharfedale loudspeakers and Avid HiFi products, today announced it has opened a new warehouse and distribution facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. The warehouse is the western U.S. distribution point for Wharfedale and serves the Pacific Northwest, Pacific Southwest, Rocky Mountains region, Texas and other areas. The new warehouse is part of Sound Solutions' ongoing expansion and was specifically set up to meet the increased market demand for Wharfedale products.

"The opening of our Las Vegas warehouse reflects our commitment to providing our dealers with the best possible resources to support the growing success of Wharfedale," said Walter Schofield, Sound Solutions V.P., Sales and Marketing. "With our new distribution center in place we can more effectively meet the needs of our western U.S dealers and customers with faster delivery, reduced shipping costs and better efficiency overall."

Located on Branson Avenue in North Las Vegas, the new facility will handle distribution as well as order processing, billing and other back office functions. The existing Sound Solutions facility in Chicago, Illinois, will continue to service the East Coast. Schofield noted, "We moved into our West Coast warehouse with an eye toward expansion and the possibility of distributing other Sound Solutions brands from Las Vegas in the future, which the new facility can easily accommodate."

Yale Real Living™ Assure Lock™ with Bluetooth

The new Yale Real Living™ Assure Lock™ with Bluetooth replaces conventional keys with digital keys accessed through the Yale Digital Keys app for Android and iOS mobile devices, and through an app for the new Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch. The Yale app allows homeowners to unlock doors, send keys to others, control when others have access, get a message when someone enters, and revoke a digital key at any time. Unlocking the deadbolt couldn't be simpler, whether using the Samsung Gear S2 or a smartphone. With the new Samsung Gear S2, touch the watch app to activate the digital key, then touch the lock screen to unlock the deadbolt. With a smartphone, Yale's "Twist and Go" technology allows the user to hold the phone vertically when approaching the door, then twist it 90 degrees to unlock the deadbolt. Homeowners can also unlock the deadbolt using its capacitive touchscreen and a four- to eight-digit code.
