The Wireless Speaker and Audio Association (WiSA) Announce A New President

pleased to announce the appointment of Thomas Lee as the new President of the Association.

SAN FRANCISO, Calif., July 8, 2014 -- The Wireless Speaker and Audio (WiSA ) Association, an industry group dedicated to bringing reliable, high resolution, interoperable, wireless, surround sound audio products to the home theater market, is pleased to announce the appointment of Thomas Lee as the new President of the Association. Lee replaces Jim Venable in this position, bringing leadership and creativity to the Association's programs and a deep sense of commitment to establishing the adoption of WiSA-certified products worldwide. He has a wealth of consumer electronics experience that will help bring speaker and CE manufacturers together to provide advanced wireless audio products to the market.

The Association acknowledges and thanks Jim Venable for his efforts in establishing a solid foundation for the Association. His hard work resulted in 30 companies joining the Association to support the vision of bringing interoperable, high quality, wireless home theater audio products to the market. WiSA-compliant products are setting a new standard for wireless audio quality and ease of use. We wish Jim all the best.
Lee's resume includes over 30 years of executive management, administration, communications and marketing experience in the technology market sector. He has held management roles at Intel Corporation, Cirrus Logic, as well as several technology start-up companies, providing products to the high volume consumer products market.
