Terra Enhances its AC series with new Formed Aluminum grilles

The new grille shape and perferation pattern updates the speakers look while the material change enhances durability

Brunswick ME, April 9, 2014 - Terra, the highly regarded manufacturer of American made all-climate loudspeakers, has updated the look and durability of their popular AC series enclosure models.

"We have been making the finest all weather speakers here in the United States for 15 years now. Feedback from those who buy our products is important to us and we have spent the past year listening to our community and making shifts in our designs accordingly," said Terra President James Banfield.

The new AC grilles are made from precision formed aluminum in place of the molded resin types previously employed. The grilles incorporate carefully sized micro-perforations which exhibit an ideal balance of good looks and speaker protection while having a minimal impact on sonic clarity.

Perforated aluminum is ideal for all-climate speakers as it won't rust like steel. Terra's specialized powder coating process allows for excellent color matching with the polyethylene enclosure and the resulting finish is significantly more durable than commonly used powder coatings.

The new look AC series is now shipping in Terra's standard black, white and green colors. Custom colors are available on special order.

Terra manufactures exceptionally high-quality all-weather loudspeakers in the USA. Terra has been providing these superior quality products into the residential custom installation and light commercial market since 1999. Terra also stands behind its products with a Limited Lifetime Warranty. For further information please see www.terraspeakers.com or call 207-725-1005.

Yale Real Living™ Assure Lock™ with Bluetooth

The new Yale Real Living™ Assure Lock™ with Bluetooth replaces conventional keys with digital keys accessed through the Yale Digital Keys app for Android and iOS mobile devices, and through an app for the new Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch. The Yale app allows homeowners to unlock doors, send keys to others, control when others have access, get a message when someone enters, and revoke a digital key at any time. Unlocking the deadbolt couldn't be simpler, whether using the Samsung Gear S2 or a smartphone. With the new Samsung Gear S2, touch the watch app to activate the digital key, then touch the lock screen to unlock the deadbolt. With a smartphone, Yale's "Twist and Go" technology allows the user to hold the phone vertically when approaching the door, then twist it 90 degrees to unlock the deadbolt. Homeowners can also unlock the deadbolt using its capacitive touchscreen and a four- to eight-digit code.
