Designed to ease AV industry professionals' path toward attaining certification
FAIRFAX, VA , March 18, 2014 - InfoComm International®, the leading trade association representing the audiovisual and information communications industries worldwide is delighted to announce the arrival of its acclaimed Design Boot Camp to London, as well as a CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) Study Session designed to ease AV industry professionals' path toward attaining certification.
InfoComm's Design Boot Camp is an intensive eight-day course that prepares participants for their CTS-D (Certified Technology Specialist - Design) exam. The programme addresses AV system design across three defined levels, with the first concentrating on the technical design environment, the second on a system's built infrastructure and the third on the practical application of acquired knowledge and best practices.
The London Design Boot Camp will be held at Chandos House, Westminster, with Levels 1 and 2 taking place from 7-11 April inclusive and Level 3 from 8-10 July inclusive.
On Thursday 10 April, Chandos House will also be the venue for InfoComm's CTS Study Session, a fast-paced and highly interactive day of training in which students will be given the chance to learn the best strategies for successful exam-taking and pre-exam study organisation.
At the end of the day on 10 April, students from both the Design Boot Camp and the CTS Study Session will be invited to a networking reception in which they can relax and 'compare notes' about their studies.
Commenting on these latest education opportunities for the local professional AV and systems integration community, Chris Lavelle,InfoComm's Regional Director for the UK and Ireland, says: "We're bringing the Design Boot Camp and CTS Study Session to London as a direct response to our members' requests for one-on-one training in preparation for their CTS exams.
"Although one can prepare for these exams online and by using printed materials such as the CTS Handbook, we found that we were continually being asked for face-to-face engagement to augment the offering.
"Both these courses have been highly acclaimed by members in North America, where students have benefited not just from interaction with their teachers but also from sharing ideas and professional experience with each other. We are delighted to be bringing these courses to London for the first time."
