Bluetooth® Enabled Smart Lock Proves Innovative Among Technology Experts

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 10, 2014 -- Following a four-minute presentation to a room filled with hundreds of technology experts and enthusiasts, Kwikset® Kevo™ was voted the winner of the 2014 Last Gadget Standing award at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Kwikset®, a leading brand of the Hardware & Home Improvement (HHI) division of Spectrum Brands Holdings (NYSE: SPB), launched the first-to-market Bluetooth enabled smart lock in October of 2013 to further extend its innovative suite of smart, simple and secure products.

"We are so honored to have won this award, mostly because it was voted on by attendees at CES, the largest technology tradeshow of the year," said Keith Brandon, director residential access solutions. While at CES, Kwikset also announced that in the summer of 2014, they will continue to lead the smart lock category with the release of its remote access locking and unlocking technology powered by the Bluetooth Enabled Kevo Gateway.
