Waves MaxxAudio® Technologies Employed in New Grain Audio PWS Packable Wireless Speaker System

- Portable wireless speaker system delivers superior sound and style-

INTERNATIONAL CES, LAS VEGAS, NV, January 7, 2014 - Waves Audio and Grain Audio announce an alliance in which Waves MaxxAudio® DSP technologies on Nuvoton NPCA IC are now featured in the new PWS Packable Wireless System by Grain Audio. Featuring a minimalist design that uses a solid walnut enclosure for a warm aesthetic value and superior sound dynamics, the PWS combines the design characteristics of real wood with MaxxAudio' s sound enhancement technologies for stylish sonic enjoyment to fit any lifestyle.

The Grain Audio PWS Packable Wireless System is a portable, Bluetooth-enabled speaker system featuring proprietary loudspeakers and passive radiator transducers housed in an acoustically-rich, one-of-a-kind walnut cabinet. Utilizing many of the same technologies as top recording studios and professional listening environments around the world, the PWS incorporates Waves' MaxxAudio suite of sound enhancement features for a result that is both powerful and pleasing to the ear. While fusing Grain Audio's intelligent, lifestyle-driven design with MaxxAudio's cutting-edge tone-shaping processing, the PWS also incorporates a patented bass isolation system, revealing a clean, tight sound, in an ultra-portable 7" x 2.375" x 3.125" package.

"Grain Audio is delighted to be working with Waves and the MaxxAudio suite in particular," states Mitch Wenger, President of Grain Audio. "We knew it was a perfect fit when we realized their commitment to true audio reproduction and ours was exactly the same. We could not be happier to have such great partners and look forward to the incorporation of their products into more of ours in the future."

"MaxxAudio studio-quality sound design tools enable devices such as the PWS to bring forward sound that far exceeds the user expectations from small portable systems" stated Yuval Weinreb, Director of Global Sales, Waves Consumer Division, "Having Waves MaxxAudio embedded within Grain Audio's PWS is a great example of how quality sound, great design and portability can all be packaged together".

Yale Real Living™ Assure Lock™ with Bluetooth

The new Yale Real Living™ Assure Lock™ with Bluetooth replaces conventional keys with digital keys accessed through the Yale Digital Keys app for Android and iOS mobile devices, and through an app for the new Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch. The Yale app allows homeowners to unlock doors, send keys to others, control when others have access, get a message when someone enters, and revoke a digital key at any time. Unlocking the deadbolt couldn't be simpler, whether using the Samsung Gear S2 or a smartphone. With the new Samsung Gear S2, touch the watch app to activate the digital key, then touch the lock screen to unlock the deadbolt. With a smartphone, Yale's "Twist and Go" technology allows the user to hold the phone vertically when approaching the door, then twist it 90 degrees to unlock the deadbolt. Homeowners can also unlock the deadbolt using its capacitive touchscreen and a four- to eight-digit code.
