New ASPIRE RF Mobile Application Allows for Seamless Integration with Home Controls

App Provides Complete Control of Lighting, Temperature and Security Features

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. … Power management company Eaton today unveiled its newest mobile solution with the launch of the ASPIRE RF mobile application (app). Eliminating the need for a coordinating in-home controller, the new mobile app communicates with all ASPIRE RF products, as well as many other Z-Wave devices, offering users complete control over functions such as lighting, room temperature and security solutions.

"Our newest solution is designed to make home automation quick and easy," said T.J. Landrum, marketing manager, technology, Eaton's Cooper Wiring Devices business. "Utilizing an intuitive platform, the app seamlessly integrates with many of our Z-Wave-compatible devices, allowing users to control a range of settings from lighting and room temperature to door locks. Whether it's for added security or increased efficiency, the app takes the complexity out of home automation."

Once downloaded from Apple's® App StoreSM, the user-friendly app imports all devices from the home automatically with no additional programming required. With just the tap of a finger, users can quickly and easily select from menu options that include devices, events/scenes, door locks or climate controls. From there, the app includes simple ON/OFF and dim functionality for lighting fixtures, as well as a temperature gauge to control climate.

The ASPIRE RF mobile app from Eaton's Cooper Wiring Devices business is now available for all Apple devices and can be downloaded for free directly from Apple's App Store.

ELK Products -C1M1 Dual-Path Alarm Communicators with Remote Services

C1M1 offers a truly significant reduction in transmission time in comparison to other communicators that rely on dial capture or data bus decoding. This can result in quicker response time to emergency situations which could save lives and assets. By providing both IP and cellular pathways, C1M1 provides the reliability installers are looking for in an alarm communicator. C1M1 eliminates port forwarding and extra fees for remote access. Installers can remotely upload/download programming changes to M1 controls over IP or cellular using ElkRP2. Consumers can control the M1 remotely via the free ElkLink mobile app and web portal, as well as eKeypad and M1 Touch Pro apps. Other IP-based software and interface partners can connect to the M1 control over the local network through C1M1. C1M1 also provides email/text notifications for arm, disarm, and alarm events. ELK-C1M14GSM supports GSM (AT&T/T-Mobile) networks and ELK-C1M1CDMA supports CDMA (Verizon) networks.
